The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

I particularly love this new Sanchez apologist meme from Jet fans: "You could put Brady, Rodgers, or anyone at QB for the Jets and they would suck, too"... implicitly stating, there's no difference because Sanchez and the best QBs in the NFL, it's just a matter of having good weapons. Oh wait, and a good OC. Oh wait, and a good offensive line. Oh wait, and a ... uhh.. uhhh

Now hold on there, they might have a point.

Where would Tom Brady be if his top back was a sub 4ypc guy like Antowain Smith, and his receivers were Troy Brown, David Givens, and David Patten? How about if his best tight end is something called a Rod Rutledge?

Oh yeah that's right.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

All those guys got their chances to torch the league outside NE... how'd that go?

Thank you JEST fans... just for being you!

From Deadspin: "Can you chart Dispair"

The Jets Are In Line For An Attendance Debacle Tonight

Will Flaherty of ticket search engine SeatGeek.com passes along some numbers for tonight's game, and let's just say the resale market is less robust than the Jets' secondary. The average price for tickets has dropped literally every day since the Jets were blown out by San Francisco, and as of today was sitting at $36, less than a third of the asking price just a week ago. Can you chart despair? It would look like this:

Holy CRAP. That's a 2012 ticket? To an NFL game???

It sure is expensive liking a good team.

Arian Foster 100+ yards
Andre Johnson a couple-a touchdowns

I am pining for a huge blowout and am likely to be disappointed with a 24-10 Texans victory. If only to see the now not-so-fat-Rex cry I'd love a 62-3.

... after reading some of their posts about no team having a"bleaker future" then them ... i'd really hate to see them moving to LA.... i think:rolleyes:

Well in the interest of accuracy, not many teams have a bleaker past either...

Man, nothing's going right for these guys lately. Hope too many people don't get infected by that.

The team decided to have a players' only meeting this afternoon. Here's a snapshot:

If I'm paying 5 dollars it won't be BB's rings that Rex has to kiss.

:D

I've read a few comments here or there where fans are starting to feel bad for the Jets at this point and time. And I start thinking about how bad the Pats were at one point, and it seemed like there was no bright future. Then I remembered one key element to the comparison:

They brought it on them****ingselves!

And it's not the fans, it's the players. It's already easy enough to despise a guy for making enough to retire his great grandchildren, but to be so arrogant a team, with unfulfilled promises, leads to a level of schadenfreude that no one could predict. And I for one couldn't be happier to enjoy it.

So, here's to you Jets players and fans, thanks for bringing a ray of sunshine to my football life on a day to day basis.

It's such a privilege knowing that a buffoon has duped a fan base into thinking that the correct way of winning football games is completely opposite of the way that has been the most successful for the past decade.

I don't know what's more satisfying, the fact that the team and its fanbase has no idea what needs to be done to right the ship, or the fact that the ignored lessons keep coming from their most disdained rivals, both divisional and within their own stadium.

Good to see Aaron Maybin is a fairly talented artist. He might have a career when he is out of football in a year or two since his career as a sackmaster who can't get sacks is not working out too well right now.

Classic sanchez, team has a chance at an upset, and he throws an interception.

And the SUCKNESS lives on....

Wasn't his fault. But it was still funny. This is too.
