Miami Dolphins sign WR Jabar Gaffney

I think the Branch/Gaffney cuts (particularly Gaffney) in combination with making Edelman the WR2, and the significant transition away from the Welker-centric passing game, are things that deserve a very skeptical eye. You, apparently, don't. Saying my position in ludicrous, after what we've seen so far, is more than a little much, IMO, but you're welcome to your opinion.

Have a good one.

I dont think it is more than a little much at all. Bottom line is Brady is on pace for around 4,900 yards passing and we have been running the ball more than in the past and being skeptical of this is ludicris.

What is your logic in being skeptical? One of the guys you mentioned above is back already and they likely had a choice to bring back both or as was the case the one of their choice, Edelman as WR2 was just never the case, and neither was a significant transition away from a Welker centric offense.

We are all welcome to our opinions and if is this what justifies yours then I stick with my original contention that it was ludicris.

They had to chuck their earlier passing plans, so your claim of what they're doing now is a meaningless one. They're excelling in the passing game again, because they're back to what they were.

Chuck their earlier passing plans or just used different schemes for different games as they always have in the past? If you truly beleive that every snap this year was going to be out 2 TE like game one was and that they werent going to get into their spread offense at all then I again will need to use the term ludicris.

Let me phrase it this way for you. Is it not a little over the top to be critical of a team for the direction you thought they were heading had one or two injuries not occured combined with the small sample size you saw before the injury rather then just look at the body of work as whole up to this point.

The Dolphins should have beat the Jets. Unlike the Green Scum from New Jersey, the Dolphins aren't a heartless group of individuals.

October 28th they will....or I quit the season. Okay I won't, but i'll feel like I want to. The Jets should be alone in last place in a few weeks.

Your deliberately created strawman of "every snap" notwithstanding, the earlier plans are gone. Hopefully, they will not to return again this year.

No, it's not at all over the top to be extremely skeptical of a significant change to an offense that's been top tier since its implementation, regardless of the sample size. A sample size of zero would still justify such skepticism in the face of the previous success. You're making ludicrous arguments while calling my position ludicrous.

Just a slight correction; the Rats DO have hearts, but they are composed entirely of scar tissue from years of being the recipients of well-earned instant karma.

It's SOULS that they lack.

Good luck with Jabar Gaffney just not against the New England Patriots this season. ;)

I deliberately created that strawman as it was the opposite of the strawman you created which is that they were never going to run the offense like last year unless Ahern and Edelman went down.

Of course sample size matters. I dont see complaining about the run to pass ratio based on the buffalo game so either you are OK with that change to the offense or you recognize that it was likely an anomly and that we will probably still have a higher pass attempt number then rush attempt.

based on the sample size there is no way for us to know if the philisophical changes to offense were more than just a gameplan or if it was truly an indication of change. But you seem intent on the strawman argument just the same.

Your team is playing hard. Good for them. Tannehill looks better than non-Phins folks expected. The league needs more decent QBs.

May I suggest you post pics of his wife and become a favorite non-Pats poster here?

i like to think that Brady has some imput to who can play and who can't at WR.....so Branch had to show him something that Gafney didn't..
