How nervous are you about the Bills game?

Always nervous on, "any given Sunday"...

This team has shown flashes of brilliance, time to put it all together and rise up from mediocrity..

I expect to see a different Brady this week a Brady fueled by fire and a desire to be the best. The Brady we seen when we lost to the browns or after losing to the giants last year during the regular season. I think we win and win well.

I am usually always nervous. My heart was literally beating out of my chest during the ravens game from start to finish. I also didn't need to hear that lewis speech. Because seriously, who's gonna block a man on fire? Anxiety instantly kicked in right there and then. I was confident about the cardinals but still felt a little uneasy because of their defense.

This week: strangely calm. I know they are capable of beating us, but it's the Bills. I can't even fathom the idea of possibly going 1-3 to them. People around here have an undying hate for the jets whether they are good or not, and I think that applies to the Bills accept hate is replaced with pity. When they started off so hot in 08 I actually was like good for them. True Rudy moment, and then I laughed kind of hard when they went on to lose every game afterward. The Bills truly are afraid of success.

in-conference loss to the Ravens was much worse.[/QUOTE said:
Fortunately the Ravens have a much tougher schedule than the Pats. I still think we will have a better record than them at the end of the year.

Goal Number 1 - Win the Division

A pretty big game and nice one to have this Sunday

Not a matter of nervous. If the Patriots play a clean game in Buffalo they'll be fine. If they bring their B game like they did against Arizona they could lose.

Brady had an excellent game against the Ravens. Welker and Lloyd were the core of the passing attack. The offense did its job. 30 points ought to be enough to beat any team in the NFL.

The defense was the problem - no sacks, no QB hits, three missed interceptions.

This Patriots team is schizophrenic. We've seen both sides of the ball play well and both sides look awful. No one knows which team shows up this week.

No Spiller. Possibly no Jackson. Tashard Choice as potentially their lead back. If the Pats don't win, I would be fairly shocked.

The Bills haven't beaten anyone. Their two wins are against the Browns and Chiefs. Fitzpatrick has not been great. Their much hyped d-line has been a disapointment. Their secondary can be exploited. They let both Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassel look like elite QBs in the game.

Hey any given Sunday, but the Pats are the superior team especially without their running game.

Division game, on the road, against an upstart foe? I'm worried.

The Bills have excellent OL and DL units which can cause us terrible trouble. We had best be up to the task.

On offense, as is seemingly always the case, the Pats MUST allow Brady to step up into the pocket and get good releases. If so, the Bills are very suspect in the back 7 and they can be exploited.

On defense, Fitzgerald can get the ball downfield and, against our secondary, this could mean trouble if he's not pressured any. Fitz is a Jekyll and Hyde type player so who knows what we'll see? Thankfully, both Spiller and Jackson are hurt at RB so we won't be seeing them at their best.

Crowd noise will be a problem on Sunday.

I don't believe that heavily in 'wake up calls' because I feel in a 16 game season every game should be played like it's your last, but at the same time you've got to think the Pats are pretty desperate for this one.

Also I think last year's game in Buffalo taught the team a lesson, doubt we blow another game in this stadium for a while.

Fitzpatrick hasn't thrown for 210 yards in a game yet this season. Against the Jets he threw for 195, against the Chiefs he threw for 178, and against the Browns he threw for 208 yards. And except for the Browns' game, he completed less than 50% of his passes in each of his two first games (56.3% and 52.6%), We have been seeing mostly Mr. Hyde this year out of Fitzpatrick.

I looked back over the last ten seasons and the only teams to make the Playoffs from a 1--3 start were the 2002 Jets and, yes, the 2001 Patriots (who arguably became a new team when Brady took over). A lot of teams went to the Playoffs from 2--2 and at least two teams went to or won the SB from 2--2 (Arizona and, ugh, Giants).

But, since we can't expect lightening to strike twice in the form of another possible GOAT now warming the bench, this is as close to a "must win," non-Playoff game the Pats have played in a long time.

So, I'm not at all nervous.

I am 100% confident that the Belichick Pats will come out with grim determination and do whatever it takes to beat the Bills.

Even though the Pats losses have been close & they could just as easily be 3-0, the air of invincibility they used to have just isn't there anymore. It's not really a team that can just get mad, turn it on & blow out an opponent when they want to right now.

They still have Brady, Gronk & a couple of good receivers, but there are more weaknesses on this team than at any time in recent history (suspect O-line, suspect D-line, poor secondary, iffy running game). A good coach can exploit those weaknesses.

We'll see which Bills team shows up. If it's the week 1 team, no worries. If their lines continue to play well and either Spiller or Jackson can play, it will come down to turnovers.

Not worried at all. Not worried about any of our division games because our division is horrible.

Hey any given Sunday, but the Pats are the superior team especially without their running game.

1.) You obviously haven't watched the Bills play at all. Against the Jets, the word disappointment could apply. Since then, they've got 9 sacks in two games. Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams have looked outstanding. Mario Williams was flat out dominant against the Browns. As was Mark Anderson who even beat Joe Thomas clean off the line for a sack, and has looked even better against the run than he has against the pass. Also, I'm pretty sure he'll be fire up to get a piece of ol' Tommy Boy on Sunday.

2.) Matt Cassell didn't lok even the least bit good against us. This is a "what are you smoking?" type statement. The Chiefs had 3 points on the board with six minutes left, and then Cassell torched the Bills second stringers for two touchdowns in garbage time.

3.) The Patriots have the better QB. The Bills have the better overall team.

I really don't understand the high and mighty attiotude. Yes you've dominated us in the past, but these are two completely different teams and the game is in Buffalo. 38-35 Bills.

When he's on, Fitz can light it up. When he's off, he's a dud. Problem is, you never know which Fitz you'll get.

Though only a very small sample size, I think the reason why Fitz hasn't thrown the ball much thus far is because he hasn't had too. This years installment of the Bills OL excels at run blocking. They have been highly effective running the ball this year, ripping off huge chunks of yards per carry!

With the RB injuries, they may not focus so much attention on running and have to pass more. If so, hopefully, we see the Fitz that is off his game.

I'm not nervous. They beat the Pats for the first time in 8 years last year and that took an epic meltdown by the offense and even then they barely won. Don't have a minus 2 turnover differential and turn it over 4 times all of which led to points and you win.

If they don't win this I'll have to reevaluate what this team is.

Not worried at all. The Pats should be good and p*ssed off after last week. If that doesnt fire them up to kill the Bills, then nothing will.

Pats 42-6

That's what I thought during the last SB. :(

Unfortunately, I am currently in the minority camp that wouldn't be greatly shocked if we lost. So, not that nervous about the game because I strangely feel confident that even if we are down 1-3, we will be much better during the remaining 75% of the season and be really good when it matters.

Go Pats!

I see a much lower scoring game ... in the low 20's for the winning team.

The reason why the Bills worry me is:

A) Your DL is excellent, especially inside where they go up against the weakest part of the Pats OL. If Williams and Dareus are able to cause trouble for Brady stepping up into the picket, then it's trouble for the Pats passing attack leaving it up to the Pats rushing attack which, is still a mystery to me.

B) Your OL excels at run blocking. It hurts that Spiller and Jackson are not 100% but I see your OL more like the Broncos OL in years past; insert any RB and they run well because of the skill of the OL. If the Bills can run on the Pats then they keep Brady off the field, limiting how many times he can score. This is the perfect recipe for beating the Pats.

C) Home field advantage. My company held Bills season tickets for 10 years and I got to see plenty of home games. Huge 12th man advantage. I would imagine the place will be rocking Sunday with the Bill ahead of the Pats in the standings.
