Re: Replacement Refs - It has to be said.

the refs were awful all night, but the Ravens crowd totally intimidated them in the last few minutes.

Every Patriots pass rusher gets tackled- no call. Every Ravens receiver pushes off-- no call.

This whole season will deserve an asterisk because of these guys.

The crowd imtimidated them? Really maybe we shouldnt have crowds? Our whats the point?

Re: Replacement Refs - It has to be said.

I'm not going to sit here and say we lost because of the refs because there were plenty of bad calls on both sides tonight. But it has gotten to the point where they effect the flow of the game. Just **** calls all around and I'm glad it was on national television tonight. It was almost as sickening to watch as the outcome.

Re: Replacement Refs - It has to be said.

I've been on the NFLs side all along the way. But I'm off that after tonight.
I'm not sure the game would have come out any differently with normal refs, but it was obvious that they had no idea what they were doing. It wasnt biased, it wasn't unfair, it was just horrible.

I felt like they were flipping coins to decide what penalty to call. The offensive lines weren't handled well at all, the defensive backs were all over the place. WR did whatever they wanted. It was just sad to watch.

That shot of Bill asking the refs on the sideline "what the f*** are you doing out there was perfect."

Re: Replacement Refs - It has to be said.

oh, and that field goal? totally NOT a field goal!!!

It's obvious that the refs cannot handle the pressure. They are in way over their heads.

I don't know if it'll get better.

these are the same fans now who think they control the AFC east...

Well you can't say they don't considering the kind of crap (officiating) we have to deal with for the foreseeable future.

Re: Replacement Refs - It has to be said.

In 40 years of watching football I cant think of a single game that was as crooked. Please tell me I'm wrong?

and posting on a message board changes anything?

Refs were bad both ways. As Rondey said at half time we should block it out and focus on things we can control. For me that's drinking more beer.

Who said it was? We're here to talk about things related to the Patriots, no?
Does your posting ON A MESSAGE BOARD degrading his posting about something out of everyone's control supposed to change anything?

I still havent seen a replay of the Mayo PI that changed the entire game.

Mike Pereira ‏@MikePereira A FG that goes over the top of an upright is not reviewable because you cannot determine when exactly the ball is directly over the pole

Mike Pereira ‏@MikePereira Just got back. Here is the rule on FGs. The entire ball must pass inside the outside edge of the upright.

Which means the kick is NO GOOD!

Bad calls both ways.... but it was at least 65/35 in favor of the Ravens.

It should've been 4th and 1, and they somehow gave the Ravens a 1st down after reviewing a weird play with Inconclusive evidence. So bad. Totally changed the momentum in the first half.

Also called a bunch of "defensive holding" that were complete jokes.

This might've been the worst officiated game Ive ever seen.

the reverse call of the out of bounds play turned the 1sr half around..There was no evidence of exactly where the ball went out of bounds....to reverse the call, there has to be evidence of a 1st down, not just a change of spots

the refs were bad but they didn't lose the game for the Pats. The Pats lost the game. Same way they almost lost last year's AFCCG. Same way they lost 3 rings - soft 4th Q D. Horrible defensive back play and no pressure on the QB.

That game was positively scabalicious.

Time for the NFL and referees to get it done

I'm sorry, but the first 3 weeks of football has been an embarrassment. These clowns can't make a correct call to save their life. Never mind the Patriots game. Earlier in the day, I think it was KC, there was a fumble and recovery runback for a TD. It was obvious te guy was down no whistle, no TD signal. They waited to look at replay to make a call. Horrendous. Too much huddling up because they don't know what call to make.

I know that both teams benefited from bad calls, but it seemed that the ones against the Pats were really bad. Quick whistle on Edelman, blow to head when Edelman was in the endzone, offensive interference on Edelman when the DB had his back to the ball. Edelman ahould be ticked off. Free timeout when the receiver was a yard and a half short. There was no need to make a measurement. If you get a measurement you shouldn't be able to get a challenge after. Bogus holding call on McCourty, non-calls on Oher as he was tackling our DEs all game. I could go on. I also think that the field goal was bad and should have been reviewed. If the goa post extends up the ball was even with the post and would have gone back in.

The way this game was called was an embarrassment to theNFL.

Refs were HORRABLE tonight, the one and only good thing I can say about them were they were consistently horrable to both teams. The one call that really sticks in my craw was the pass interference on Devin McCourty on the last drive where you barely put a finger on the guy. Yes it was interference but it was so ticky tacky as to be unreal.

Ask a Seattle fan about Super Bowl 40... they'll tell ya!

Maybe we would have had more pressure if Ninkovich and Jones werent getting raped on every play.

What made it worse was not the calls that were called but the calls that weren't. There was a Raven's lineman holding a Pats defender on almost every single play and not borderline. Blatant tackling. It was absolutely ridiculous. That being said, McCourty totally lost it on that last drive.

I hate complaining about refs and I hate blaming losses on the refs. There were bad calls on both sides of the board but the shenanigans that the owner and Goodell is pulling needs to stop. We're not the only team or only people frustrated by these incompetent refs. These refs are constantly disrupting the fluidity of the game. I'm afraid that this might not be the only game that they "affect" for us.

If the Ravens had lost you could make a case for the officials costing them the game. What I am going to point out is the officials have sucked the viewing pleasure from my NFL experience.

I am considering boycotting all telecast until this farce is sorted.
