you could park a 747 on manning's forehead. he should charge for billboard space per sq ft. and retire.

With the Broncos loss, there are only two AFC teams at 2-0. The Texans, who'll eventually have to deal with the Annual injury to Shaub (and who face the Broncos next week), and the Chargers, who'll eventually have to deal with the fact that Norv Turner is their head coach (and who face the Falcons next week).

By the end of next week, 2-1 could be good enough to be in first place in the race for the #1 seed in the AFC. I'd rather see the Broncos lose to the Texans, but that game's going to be sort of a win/win for me.

Me too. I'm still not sold on Denver being a top team in the AFC even with Manning..

wait does this mean Peyton is not the MVP this year? i thot it was already decided when the season started who the MVP was

As personally it pains me to say this, I hope Houston beats the crap out of Denver..I'm betting the Chargers win then they will lose to KC or NO.

By mid season there will likely be only 1 unbeaten team remaining and at 8-0

That team will be the 49ers or the Texans

Texans have a brutal schedule before their bye. 49ers are more likely; however, I think they will both lose before that, somehow. Still think 49ers are heading for a let down sooner rather than later.

NFL.com has a short story about how there are 21 teams at 1-1, a new record (previously 18). What's so funny is the headline:

"NFL sets record with 20 teams at 1-1, including Patriots"

What the fudge? "Including Patriots"? They're not even mentioned in the story! Love those New York-based headline writers. Guess we know who is still the standard bearer for the league.
