Aaron Rodgers is no Tom Brady

Don't expect too many teams to score 22 or more on SF this year like the Pack did.

The 49ers are simply loaded and everyone knew Rodgers would not cakewalk over that secondary.

If you look around the league, it looks like coaches have had sufficient time now to build defenses to stop the spread offense. Packers have no running game and Finley is just another WR. Packers will still pummel weaker teams but will have big problems against string pass rushes.

There is no way that anyone can say that one of the two is better than the other, or visa versa. They play for different teams, with different personnel and different game plans and play books.

Both are amongst the best in the NFL, but to say one is better than the other just cant be said until they both play on the same team and split the quarterback duties.

Back in the early sixties, they rotated, Babe Parilli and Butch Songin on plays. One would call one play and then the other came in for the next play and so on.

Only under a system like that can it be determined which might be the better of the two. I believe that Parilli won out.

I am not sure of the exact year, had to be 1960 or 61 I think.

Rodgers is stinking it up at Lambeau. Just threw a pick to put the 49ers back in the game. Can we end all the talk about Rodgers being as good as or better than Brady? No chance. He's good, but he's no Tom Brady.

I Hear Ya! I know where ya coming from.
I'll Take TFB ALL DAY, ANY DAY, EVERY DAY, yesterDAY, toDAY & tomorrowDAY!

The difference between "them" and Brady is he's taken his team to 5 superbowls and 6 conference championship games in a decade of playing.

You mean 6 Super Bowls and 7 Conference Championships counting 2012 ;)

When you sit back and look at it, it is mind blowing what Brady and MacaBeli has done..

I can't stand Rodgers. He just doesn't care as much as Brady does. Rodgers threw that pick and Gore scored the next play. Rodgers was on the bench, looking like he didn't have a worry in the world. Brady would have had to dig his helmet out of the ground after a play like that.

Umm, you don't want your QB getting overly emotional about his play, good or bad. One of the traits of a great QB is that they play in the moment, not concerned about what might happen in the future or what has happened in the past.

I judge QBs by what they do during the play, not before or afterwards.

You guys are idiots if you think this is the best Rodgers has to give this season.

I understand that attitude deal and whatnots but this guy is an amazing quarterback and there is no disputing that. Stop being so biased. This is simple bitterness from Rodgers taking the number 1 spot on the top 100 list, I assume.

Let it go.

He's playing the 49'ers defense, arguably the best in the game. Stop being a dumbass

It is too early to draw any conclusions about anything, but today didn't relieve the concerns raised about the Packers last year against the Giants in the playoffs that they are a soft team that can get grounded by a strong defense.

Good god and holy shyte I hate these kind of threads. It shows a total commitment to ff and stats and individual accomplishment.

That is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what this team is about. If you are a Pats fan and haven't figured that out by now, then Listen to What BB said To TJ in 2003!

Its a coach's team. Its about knowing your job in the system. Its about understanding how to sight read on O and read/react on D.

Its about accepting your role as a cog. Even the HOF QB is just a cog. This team went 11-5 without that QB and BB said that season was one of his most satisfying.

If you want to follow this team, for the love of god and for the last time, drop the FF attitude and learn the game like you would learn a war study at a military acadamy. Then you would get the beauty of this team and the frustration of the rest of the league, and the media.

Meh.

It annoys me when I hear how Flacco outplayed Brady in the AFCCG. Flacco had the fortune of playing against the Pats D while Brady had to face a top D in the NFL. Not an apples for apples comparison.

Rodgers is facing perhaps the best D in the league. I'll cut him some slack--despite his gay title belt celebration.

If you are going to be clueless...atleast omit the deragutory remarks.

TB played poorly in the AFCCG. The "elite" Ravens defense had about zero input on it. Standard Brady play and that game was a blowout.

The reality actually is the Patriots dominated all other aspects of the game.

If any team wins the turnover battle by +2 and loses......they are in near hopeless territory.

The reality is the real question should be if McCarthy can hold Belichick's strap.

A big play offense is understandable but can you say "telegraphed"?

Did the Packers ever put a guy in motion to create a mismatch?

Down 16-7 on the opening drive 3rd and 1....so let's chuck it 70 yards?

Either the Packers are extremely arrogant or they really don't understand that defenses do figure things out.

Also, Findlay is not in the Gronk/Ahern universe.

Exceptional player, 40+ TD's and 6 int's while leading his team to a 15-1 season last year. How anyone can run him down is beyond me. Rodger's is also a class act and demonstrated that completely while dealing with the Favre circus for 5 years. The Packers will be a serious contender at the end of this season unless Rodger's goes down.

This, if his receivers hadn't dropped balls they might have won, he carries that whole team on his back as they have no run game, he has a great arm, good pocket awareness and is very clever with his mobility

He's above Brady and Brees overall right now for the fact he can run

Aaron Rodgers is a fine quarterback and if I don't mind saying a fairly excellent role model.

Do not have a problem with him as a TOP TIER qb.

This is an odd place. The media has been ballwashing Rogers and Brees as better than Brady for the last 2 seasons. If JETS fans did that the OP would have tons of support. But the fact is Brady likely isn't many of his fans fantasy QB because they sop up media hype. Even though he took his team farther than either of the other two last season.

Love Rodney, just said he knows it's week 1 but we may be the best team in the AFC.

I saw that too, with Rodney, and Dan Patrick and St. Dungy were all over him, LOL. However, Rodney gave it to the Pats last year when they deserved it, so maybe, despite his homerism, he's on to something. I certainly hope so!

You had me until the last sentence. I don't consider him better than either of those guys.
