I'm not saying they will will the SB, or even make the playoffs or even win this game.

But, they seem to be in control and able to execute their game plan. Our D looks to be fast enough, tackles well, and well disciplined. The D-Line/LBs make you think they are going to be a handful for any team as the Titans have a good Oline.

The defence looks totally different than in years past. They're faster, theres always several players around the ball ready to make the tackle, they swarm to the ball carrier.

Cant ever recall a D-end as quick and as fast as C jones on the Pats, that strip in the end zone was a thing of beauty.

Hightower is everywhere, Wilson is indeed a second round talent

Cunningham is playing very well

Of course have to mention VW and Love in the middle

It may be too early, but this looks to be the best front seven since 2004. McCourty other than that PI non-call has looked closer to his rookie year locking down his coverages.

I Hate to say it, but the little bit of the Jest game that I watched, The Jest dont look as bad as I expected

refs are better than I thought they would be, a blown PI call on McCourty, but we'll take it heh..

They blew the call on the Dowling PI to begin with. They missed Hutchinson holding on one of the passes earlier. He literally had the bottom half of cunningham's jersey up near cunningham's neck.. . Nate Washington was clearly holding on the 9 YD run by Locker.

But this happens all the time.. No better or worse than the "real" refs..

To Tavon Wilson:mea culpa,mea maxima culpa:lol2:

The kid has played extremely well. He always seems to be in position and makes the right decisions. He showed good poise and focus on the INT and has tackled well. He's taken the TE almost out of the game thus far.

BB seems to have drafted three very intelligent players. It's a bonus that they are also very good athletes physically to boot. This defense, should they continue to improve, will be scary. The genius of BB's strategies pair with a young, deep, athletic and intelligent group could spell trouble for the rest of the league.

Yeah he was only out for two plays a couple of series back. But they didn't say what the injury was

I think he made the tackle with the runner's foot in a delicate spot and got landed on. Weakened, but not injured.

(PS He's not laughing.)

Take that, chicken littles!

Yeah, he made no contact in front, looked like the hand on the arm around the back made contact. But that's the kind of thing the regulars call PI by default especially on McCourty because they assume if he didn't turn his head yet broke up the play he must have had contact...

whats the rule on that? Devin didnt really touch the WR, but he did hit the ball without looking at it...from what i understand thats legal

Yeah I don't think Lloyd should have stopped....he should have kept going and he would have had that pass. Oh well, hopefully, that won't happen again.

They are playing the Bills, and they are a lot worse than all the reports from the off season, except for Spiller.

The tackling by Mayo,Wilson and Hightower, has been superb:rocker:

Cunningham looks like he is finally coming into his ability..... Jones and Hightower absolutely incredible ! OL looking good overall....Brady is one tough SOB..... the RIDDLER.... yeah I coined that...(wasnt there a guy on here named the riddler.....but he couldnt tell jokes like "Joker") looking like the real stuff and getting more comfortable with every carry....LETS GO PATS....!!!!!!!!!!!

Look I love Brady but the throw to Lloyd was terrible. Overthrown and wrong shoulder. Toms playing awesome but that throw sucked. The throw that hit Welker in the face mask speaks for itself!

That is simply not true. That was clearly a miscue by Lloyd as he tied himself up in knots to turn around for a catch that was going to land in his breadbasket had he just kept going. The throw to Welker had a little extra mustard on because of traffic it but he still should have had it, it just got in on him too quick.

Guess you missed Welker JUMPING for the ball to begin with. DUH..

Brady's typical precision spoils us. Hitting a receiver in the facemask on a 10+ downfield throw would be considered a good pass by any other QB.

who cares about the jets, they are what we thought they were! ditto the bills

Good game so far, defence looks completely different from last season. Hoping Lloyd can get a touchdown in the second half so people forget his earlier mishap...;)

Halftime report -

You know the obvious stuff - Here are some of the more under the radar stuff

1. The run defense is OUTSTANDING - That is a good OL and a great RB...who is very frustrated right now.

2. Its nice we have 2 sacks, but we haven't put what anyone would call consistent pressure on Locker. It was just 2 individual plays. No upset though. Locker's running forces them be rush in a controlled manner and takes away some push.

3. Jones needs to get in better shape. He was done later in the 2nd half.

4. I don't know how good Wilson is in coverage, but his is a fantastic Tackler

5. This offense is just going to be unstopppable when the OL get going at 100%

6. We better get used to it. Jet fans are going to be UNBEARABLE this week :D

2012 draft binkie Stephen Hill playing good for the rats.
