Bills GM Nix: Patriots 'don't scare me'

Hey Nix..... you want the AFC East Title? You want To be the head dog?

All this Buffalo hype and banter is great news if anything. Now next time we're up 21 on them we won't fall asleep but kick their *** even worse. Time to break that streak of 15 or whatever it was before week 3 last year.

Your scared we get it. BB is one scary MoFo, 100% pure emotionless, brain power, channeled into beating the living S!@t out of any given team once a week.

All I can say is thank God he coaches the Pats.

It surprises me that people don't use a face saving yet self serving respectable answer such as;

"The Patriots have been the gold standard for the better part of a decade in the AFC East. To get to the top you have to beat the best and whilst we look forward to the challenge we believe we've assembled a roster that can compete with the best."

It's not that difficult to talk your chances up whilst praising your rivals.

EXACTLY. I would think you flatter the heck out of your opponents and fly under the radar. This whole 'throw the gauntlet' down just hurts your team because there is ZERO chance that this quote isn't in the Pats locker room on Sept 30th to fuel the fire.

Yup. Mosi would have spray painted it across the locker room walls.

YOU WILL BE, YOU WILL BE.

Win once in 18 games and claims the Patriots doesn't scare him.

Your statement is logical. Mister Spock of the NFL appreciates the compliment.

Now you just need to merge that with a photo of Nate Ebner (aka Leonidas). . . .

Ya know what they say about someone who, with no prompting, publicly insists he's not scared of someone..... ;)

Taking a page from Rex Ryan, I think Nix would had been better served to let the team do the talking for him and the organization - much like Belichick lets his team do every Sunday.

With that said, there is something to be appreciated about Nix's comments. By no means, should a GM be afraid - especially admit to being afraid of any of his opponents. Give him credit, he got a 'big fish' in free agency and prior to that has built himself a nice team. More so, he built his team the right way.

Nobody should sleep on this team... Dolphins, maybe we can... Jets, probably not advisable. Bills... not be taken lightly.

Nix is better letting his team do the talking on the field but as another said, his job is to keep fans in the seats, sign at least one of the top guys in FA (which he did with Mario) and to let them think that this years team is going to be a special one.

I have no problems with what he said because every GM should feel his team is going to win it all....but then again a quiet mouth is always better.

Yes, the Pats have managed to beat them all but once. But you should keep in mind that they've played the Pats tough, and made them work hard for several of those wins. They are an improved team, thats building confidence. The way they played in the past, I dont think they were afraid of us before this season. Should he have just said nothing? sure, but I dont think its such a big deal. I think there's a big difference between the Bills, and Jets when it comes to comments like these.

16 out of the last 17 against the Bills? It's around that....yawn.

Don't sleep on the bills, they would be my guess to give us trouble this year. Miami, I'm not too worried. Bills, good dl got upgraded, defense gave us issues last year (once anyway). They have a great rb, stretch the field wr and "game manager"+ qb (sound familiar? Circa we shocked the god damn world and Marshall Faulk still hasn't let it go...we didn't even gave the deep threat lol).

Then there's tubby's turds.

Lol.

Since when did the Bills become relevant? Oh that few games at the beginning of last season when they won? yeah that ended fast.

its bad enough we have the SOJ

now we have the SOB? that works nicely....:singing:

What's sad about this is that, even in an attempt to be confident and assertive, he waffles: "I think we can compete with any of ‘em, and our intention is to try to win the division.”

"I think we can compete"

"Our intention is to try to win..."

Not exactly strong words.

Did Nix graduate from the Rex Ryan School of Bombasity???

Summa Cum Moron...If anyone in the Patriots organization ever pulled a Nix or Ryan on any other team, the best place where he would end up is in Belichick's Doghouse. Might even result in a cut or firing, depending upon how BB felt about the offender's overall contributions to the team. Coach is embarking on the 2012-13 FU tour. Opponents beware....
