Lots of kudos have been handed out this week over the baseball Giants PED's cheater Melky Cabrera stepping up and accepting his punishment and being accountable for his own actions.

Not. So. Fast.

Melky Cabrera Cooked Up A Phony Website To Try To Beat His Suspension

If you ask me MLB should have doubled his suspension as a result. I bet Roger would have...

Since we're doing baseball threads now...how about a politics thread also

It's not a baseball thread. It's a thread about the ends (which now include the internet and social media) to which athletes will go to attempt to get away with doing something they knew was prohibited by rule. Lots of that attitude in football as well, not to mention in life (including even football message boards) these days. Ian can tell you about the lengths to which some members who are banned or suspended will go to to slither back in here...

theres millions of dollars at stake for him, hard for me to get outraged at him when most guys are on something and the testing is a largely arbitrary farce

Like I said, lots of that attitude in life these days, too.

so you make a way OT thread then respond with passive aggressive, flippant remarks to anyone who disagrees with you. Solid.

Do they slither back to write about baseball topics on PatsFans?

Love the funny MLB snark Mo got on this. Beat me to it guys.
But I do agree with the central topic that despite my not liking Roger G, the NFL is by far the best run program, college and pro. Players and coaches are held far more accountable. Makes it far more enjoyable for this fan who abandoned the other leagues.

I am disappointed that this isn't about Fivehead throwing picks for the Donkeys last night.

Ditto, got excited when I read the topic thinking we were making sport of our favorite Broncos QB.
