I don't think you can characterize an organizations fans by small cross sections... I'm fairly certain every time has their classy fans and their obnoxious fans. I know for certain the Colts do. What the Colts have more of than any organization I've ever known is fair weather fans. It's really unfortunate.

If the Patriots do win I guarantee you that you'll be hearing the "choke artist" crap out of a lot of mouths in Indianapolis. Far more here than in other cities.

It's sad... the Colts are a great team, they deserve more devoted fans. I've met some great Colts fans, but they're not too common.

NO matter what happenes this week i will still like the colts. I will not jump on the bandwagon of peyton choking. I dont think he ever has or ever will. Most of his playoff games hes gone agaisnt great defenses and the great patriot teams from a few years ago. You are right though that theres alot of fans that will bring up the "choke artist" crap if peyton even loses by like a field goal.

Go back to the Tip Top !!!!.. I had ( and still do) season tickets all the way back in the 3-13 back-to-back years.. highly doubt that's bandwagon material. if the Pats go 3-13 in consecutive years I bet you see fairweather Pats fans.

if we lose Sunday I wont throw 20 years away.. i'll stick it out like you miserable red Sox fans did.

we were not miserable Sox Fnas - we were suicidal redsox fans

well I'll toast you sunday win or lose

I agree about there being many fair weather Colt fans, and I think that I've figured out why...we don't have a long history of football and there are many people who formed allegiances with other teams over the years, and most of those people do feel loyal to those other teams. Many people have loved the Bears forever, I guess because of Chicago's location to Indiana. I swear there are more Steeler fans in my area than Colt fans, and on any given Sunday it's never surprising to see so many fans from the other teams gathering at our sports bars.

Or perhaps the Colts haven't gotten the attention because Indiana is such a basketball crazed state...who knows??

Someone posted about a cheerleader's convention in Indy a few pages back. They usually stay downtown at the Embassy Suites, and the Hyatt which are attached to the mall.

I JUST SCORED TICKETS BABY!!!!:rocker:

Me and my buddy will be flying into Columbus sat night from Boston, staying there, and then driving in on Sunday!! Man you gotta love Jet Blue prices.

We'll probably need to meet up with some tailgaters. Anybody want to buy extra food and let us in on your party? We'll toss some cash your way.

I was there in '03 and I'll be there again this week!!!

Sure, just two? Chicken wings, Burgers and chips alright??

I'll be going alone. PeyMe Manning couldnt keep me away either with his whining to the fans.

1984: Little did anyone know on December 18th 1983 the Colts had played their final game in Baltimore. Almost after the season ending win at Memorial Stadium; Colts owner Robert Irsay began talking to other cities about moving the club. On February 13th he toured the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis. The Colts also spoke to officials in Phoenix, as the Maryland legislature tried to use eminent domain laws to force the franchise to remain in Maryland. On March 28th Phoenix dropped out of the bidding, at Irsay called up officials in Indiana saying he was on the way. However, he kept the move secret until just after midnight when by cover of darkness on a cold snowy night he used Mayflower moving trucks to pack up the Colts offices, and relocate them in Indianapolis. By the time anyone realized what had happened it was too late to stop. The NFL feeling they could not win in court did not fight the move, as Maryland put up a futile fight before the Colts agreed to support Baltimore getting an expansion team. . The Irsay family would not relinquish the name Colts, as they once promised. Many Colt legends were angered by the move including legendary QB Johnny Unitas who refused to acknowledge the franchise for the rest of his life.

in 12 we trust,

Even though all that happened before I was born, I have a lot of compassion for the people of Baltimore. It was a flat out horrible thing to happen to the fans of Baltimore. People here who don't support the Colts are very loyal to the teams that they've supported for much longer than the Colts have been in Indy. When you live in a state like Indiana, that doesn't have a pro football or baseball team, people chose to follow other teams for various reasons, and they have stayed loyal to those teams over the years, way before the Colts showed up. I know many people here who didn't like the way we got the Colts, and they've been slow to warm up to them for that reason.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz Whats your point?

Count me in as one of the Indy people who pre-dates the Colts and had already chosen a team to be loyal to before they arrived.

Also the Irsay family hasn't shown much of a history of loyalty to it's fans, why should the fans be loyal to them?

I'm a Patriots fan because my father was when I was a little kid, and I stuck through the worst years (1-15 anyone? that 1 victory was to the Colts, btw) so yeah... I'm enjoying the good years.

I'm still a fan of the Colts... I respect them a lot and in fact live with one of the assistant coaches daughters, but I'm a Patriots fan first and foremost and to hell with any other team if the Patriots are still in the picture.

Anybody on here LIVE in IN? I'm having an issue with FedEx delivery times and need somebody I can trust IN INDY to have them delivered to that I can meet up with.

EDIT: Nevermind. Got it figured out. FedEx Priority Saturday Hold

I live in Indiana, but not in Indianapolis...sorry

Joe in Indy, it might not be the best idea to advertise that your Dad's bar is pro-Patriots.

That's like advertising that you're a Colts bar in downtown Boston.

People in Indy hate the Pats with a seething passion. If they find out that a bar in Indy is really some kind of New England Patriot bar, you might as well close your doors because you'll be shunned in Indy especially if the Pats win on Sunday.

And if you believe any of the bozos here who blindly think there will scads of tickets remaining on Sunday, think again. The ticket brokers in Indy can't find tickets, and the prices are soaring.

Good luck if you go to Indy without ducats in hand. You're on your own.

Is Payme Manning going to tell everyone in INDY not to go to the TipTop??

Being a Pats fan from China it’s going to be dam hard just to catch the game never mind being there. For the last 3 days for some reason I couldn’t get on the patsfans.com only on the gayfreaks.com. I come from the Czech Republic or what was Czechoslovakia. My family moved here in 1985 and that’s when I fell in love with the Super Mighty Patriots. Now that I’m living in China it’s breaks my heart that I can’t see the game but this website makes my day. Since the Taiwan earthquake it’s been tough as s**t to get on to this website and for some reason the gayfreaks.com has been easier. Just to stay in touch with football I’m guilty of visiting it. I can’t believe of all the horse s**t and none sense that goes on, on that website. I think a unanimous Red Sox fan said it the best. Most Dolt fans are saying that this is their year, and before 2004 Red Sox have been saying that for 86 years. Anyway, even though I won’t watch the game, I’ll be wearing my Mr. Bray jersey and be f****nervous. If any Pats Fans want to join me for the Aug. 7 game in Beijing, please let me know. I’ve free place to stay in Beijing and I’ll get tickets at bottom prices. Anyway that’s tooooooooooooooo far away. GO PATS FROM CHINA.;)
