This news brings me jubilation and is arguably tantamount to this:

Does anybody have a url with an all-22 posted to youtube or anywhere

we have always talked about the all-22 but i have never seen it to know what the difference really is. Yeah, i understand you can see all 22 players at one shot, but dont you lose out on a lot of the detail as well and is it from high overhead or just slightly above field level? anyway i would just like to see a short clip to know what it is I would be missing or not by blowing off subscribing. thanks.

I'd have to check - but the idea behind that is more to see farther down the field as well as the ability to better see the defensive alignments, routes, etc. So while the shots are farther away, you get a better view of those things

All I can see is a $69.99 package. No $60.

Yeah - it was $59.95 but it looks like they decided to raise it $10 so Myles got lucky and grabbed it at the lower price. I'm guessing the initial demand was great so they decided to bump it up. Should have bought it when I first got the e-mail I guess

Maybe they'll give us the All 23 for the extra $10. :)

It was $59.99 when I first looked at it. I'm going to wait. It's a good bet that they'll lower it again at some point when interest drops.

yes, finally!

I'll be superpsych'ed if they add the functionaltiy where you can run through a play at your own pace.

Wow, very weird, looks like they did raise it. There must have been a ton of early interest. I bet it will go back down, though.

On a side note, I am watching Super Bowl XXVI right now. This one never gets old.

You can rewind 10 seconds with a single click, so it actually is pretty easy to watch the same sequence repeatedly until you think you have a pretty good idea what's going on.

It is good to see the NFL finding ways to earn more money. But this type of stuff is really almost exclusively going to be bought by journalist outfits.

I can see Jaws having field days with this type of stuff on the air. Not to mention CHFF. Of course, are they going to not allow any Saints games to be viewed? That will be interesting.

Holy ****, take my money nfl.com! I can finally forgive you for all the laggy bull**** layouts and terrible proprietary video players you've used in the past!

god fans are gonna do a better analysis then some coaches :bricks:

Maybe that will lead to better Commentators for games... What.. wait a minute.. what am I saying.. why would the NFL want to do that???

Just signed pops up for Father's Day; he works on the road constantly, so it's a necessity. I had to test drive it of course. Unless I'm missing something, they sacrifice video quality for speed (fine in my book). All plays are indexed by description. All 22 film it's basically a bird's eye view.

This is awesome, and I'm definitely getting it for myself. I can see them really improving it too. Better quality video, searchable plays, expert and self play analysis options. Well worth the money IMHO.

It'd be great if they could stream it live too, but I understand.

So I can watch any game, any game, at any time, at any time, any game at any time, any game at any time, in any way, in any way. That's any game at any time in any way, any game any time any way. That's the way I want it. Any way you want it. That's the way I need it.

That sounds like a Journey worth taking!

BTW, what is all-22? A camera angle that shows everybody and doesn't zoom on the play?

This is probably the best news for a football fan since the development of instant replay. It will REALLY start to bring the game into focus for fans. It would be cheap at $100. Think about it. For less than the cost to go to a single game, a lot of the "mysteries" of how football works will be exposed for the first time.

Granted we won't be able to make definitive judgments because we won't know the play called, the defense called and all the audible adjustments that are made at the LOS before the snap. However while not perfect, it will be INFINITELY better than anything we've had before.

This is a historic day for football fans. Kind of surprising that its introduction has been so low key

Pretty much.
The camera angle shot by NFL Films we’re not allowed to see at home « Charles Apple « copydesk.org
It will likely give the league a few hundred thousand, after the fact, know-it-all officials. For example you will be able to make a determination regarding the 5 yard chuck rule on WRs. The standard televised camera angle pans back to follow the QB when he has the ball. This costs the viewer two or three yards and we can't see if the receiver is getting mauled. This is just one small example of the myriad types of new info that will be available to us. Watch what happens as All 22 images and clips flood the web pointing out bad plays, dumb players, and lousy officiating. In fact with the potential for it to become so bothersome for the league, they may restrict access again after only a year.

As far as hard core fans are concerned...yeah, That's The Way We Need It.

It's low key because there's only a tiny minority of the high tens of millions of TV football watchers who will geek out on this. Low single digit % of the audience. Revenue in the low 10s of millions.

I can't wait!

That's the highest risk right there...officiating. Folks will discover legit PI, clipping and holding that's not called on the other team on a play where their team got a flag.
