From nytimes.com blog:

24.January 14th,
2007
11:30 pm I was in San Mateo in the 2003, drinking at a local bar after going to Bay Meadows racetrack. I happened to mention that I was originally from Boston, and one of the patrons said “What do you think about Tommy?” Before I could say anything, the bartender said “Man, he used to run through here throwing the newspaper at light speed”. Seems Tom Brady was already preparing his 2 minute offense. Years ago.

I read it as: while growing up in SoCa,Tom used to be a paperboy, riding his bike at top speed so he could finish his route on time, while tossing the daily paper with accuracy as he flew by. Cute story!

The other part of the story is how Brady took over Manning's route, too, because Manning kept audibling how he wanted to fold the paper.

That's pretty cool man. Once a gunslinger, always a gunslinger.

LOL :rocker:

I thought the new term was swashbuckler?

No, swashbuckler is the new term for 'butt pirate', which is what we can now call Rivers and LaDan. Tom is and always has been a gunslinger.

At least that's the Florida term.

Plus Manning kept throwing the printer line crew under the bus whenever he was late with the paper.

"Let's just say we had some production problems at the plant."

TB was my paperboy but every so often I would come out my front door and Manning would throw his paper right to me.

:D That's good stuff.

Manning was my paperboy for a while, but he was very unreliable: he always disappeared in January.

Manning's dad was our paperboy and we'd never see him in January either.
