I'm very, very sorry for your loss, it goes without saying that 36 is way too young. Your kids are very lucky to have a well-grounded dad, however.

Dave - I am so very sorry to hear this. May you, your children, extended friends & families find comfort in these coming weeks/months and continue to feel the spirit of your wife close by.

But I am heartened by the reactions of my fellow posters. It's odd to say this about someone you know only through their posts on a fan site, but many of us clearly feel we know you and we like what we know. You have made us smile--and think, which is a rare and valuable contribution to all of us. I am certain that you are a great father and that you will meet this test with grace and love.

Life is so short a time but it seldom seems so until faced with something like this. Be thankful for the good times shared and the memories of love shared while you carry on with what the two of you have created. May your God comfort and give peace to you and your family, each and every one.
