19-0?

Gaffney will help but I can't forget him dropping that wide open bomb down the left sideline in Indy that would have won the game for Cassel and the Pats and eventually would have put them in the playoffs the year Brady was hurt. Gaffney catches that sure TD and the Pats would have ended up 12-4 and the second or third seed, instead of 11-5 and out of the playoffs.

I can't believe we'll have 3 WR who actually know the offense

Great signing, obviously.

I see depth chart being: Lloyd, Welker, Gaffney, Branch, Stallworth.

Stallworth's game speed is still legit. You need him for the occasional go and deep comeback.

Would love to see Ocho step up, but not sure with players Brady trusts around him already.

Great news! It'll be that much harder for Stallworth or Ochocinco to make the roster, but I'll take Gaffney any day of the week. Great route-runner, sure hands, works for me.

This is great news . I watched a couple of redskins games last season, and Gaffney is still a dangerous weapon. He is miles better than any other receiver besides Wes and Lloyd. The only way to stop our offense next season is to get pressure on Tom.

I'm glad he's back. His 07 was very good, but his 06 year was what impressed me...he came off the street after the Eagles released him (because he got a DUI, IIRC) and played outstanding football.

If I had to take a stab at it:

Lloyd
Welker
Gaffney
Gonzalez
Stallworth

I think Ocho and Edleman are gone and I hope Branch ends up on the shadow roster.

I`m extremely excited about this...........but wtf is wrong the redskins.....draft a rookie qb and then cut 1 of ur top 2 wrs?

They signed Garcon and Morgan.

Gonna go with no. Patriots already committed over 9,000,000 to him this season, money that could have been used in many other places on free agents that are no longer on the market, Wes Welker is a patriot in 2012, and hopefully long after.

Edit: Asante didn't blow the Superbowl in 2007 either, the offensive line couldn't keep Brady on his feet and the play calling was horrendous, the Giants won it with a true defensive beatdown of the best offense to ever step foot on a football field.

Although I agree that Wes will not be gone, do you think that this might be a subtle message to him to decrease his leverage? "Hold out all you want, we'll be fine with or without you."

The reunion will be complete when we meet the 49ers in week 15(??). At that point records might be in danger.

That's assuming if Moss can still compete at a high level, but in any case I wish him well.

When I think of Gaffney, I think of that catch on the side of the EZ in the Ravens game.

They're the redskins?

I'd prefer the memory of him catching the winning TD pass against Porky and the Ravens in '07. That was the game which featured Porky calling a defensive time-out giving Brady an extra shot. It was a juggling catch in the corner of the end-zone. I think Bart (the Brain) Scott was the Raven who objected so strenuously to a PI call, that he picked up the ref's flag and pitched it about 30 yards resulting, of course, in another penalty. You can take the player out of the Ravens, but you can never take the Ravens out of the player...

I think Slater and Edelman make the roster as non-WRs, so no point figuring them in. Not convinced this ends Ocho's chances; if, for whatever reason, he "gets it" over the off-season, then he's valuable.

It is conceivable that 6 of the 7 vets could make it. That none of them play ST will be the issue.

Its a lot easier to forget than say, Welker dropping a HUGE pass in the SB a few months ago.

Great signing.

Make mine a double shot.
