And they lost them both.

The Pats "won" all 3 super bowls by only 3 points. Even the slightest advantage could have tipped the scale. A Rams offensive player said "its like they knew our plays before we ran them".

I don't think Harbaugh ever meant to say that the titles weren't earned, which he reiterated in his clarification statement. He was just saying that others are going to question the titles because we technically WERE caught cheating. He never said the Patriots or BB didn't deserve those titles or that the cheating played a major role.

Unfortunately, not going to happen. It's just the age we live in.

Here's the modern cycle:

Anyone with an Internet connection — which, these days, really is just just about anyone — can post their, um, "thoughts." And then people, like the media, get to group those people as they wish.

So, say, a relative handful Bruins "fans" can tweet the worst, most vile racist comments after a tough loss and many not-as-thoughtful-as-they-should-be media types will report it as "Boston fans react with racist posts."

At a different level but in a similar way, some Patriots fans will get reflexively PO'd at Harbaugh's comments without really looking at what he said .. and next thing you know all Patriots fans are portrayed as over-sensitive reactionaries. "Harbaugh comments draw ire of Patriots Nation" is the headline on this very board.

Plus, videotaping from the stands isn't even illegal. I do it all the time.

And Costas asked Goodell point blank about this question, and Goodell couldn't answer it because he knew it was legal. Goodell finally said, "But they weren't using a video recording device from the stands, Bob, they were using a camera recorder from the field."

That my friends is a difference without any distinction, and I apologize for confusing the Bills fan given his peabrain which can't understand basics.
