Finally,,, there is justice for Trevon.

Wilson isn't even listed on NFP's list of safeties for the draft. And that's like 20 SS and 15 FS - not a mention of Wilson.

#9 FS at NFLDraftScout, fwiw.

Good point. They haven't seen my grandmother either. Maybe she goes to the Pats at #62.
I'm sure ProFootballFocus could invent some warped metric to prove how valuable your Grandmother would be at pick 62.

I'll try to reserve judgment here as experience has taught me that the most popular picks often turn into busts (Andy Katzemoyer, Maroney, Jackson, etc...) while the "who-the-f.ck-is-this-guy" picks often turn out well (Seymour, Branch, Vollmer, Mankins, McCourty, etc...).

Having said that, its hard imagining that Wilson wouldn't have been available later on. Personally, I was hoping to trade down ten slots or so and pick up a third rounder in the process and then trade that 3rd rounder for a 2013 2nd rounder. Apparently I'm one of the few fans of the "value" approach. Having multiple early picks every year is a winning strategy in my eyes.

I hope Wilson pans out but even if he does, it's hard to like him at #48. Then again, I once complained about taking a QB in the 6th round when we already had 3 QB's on the roster so what the f.ck do I know?

You're really going with the appeal to authority after this pick? Whether the pick works out or not, this is an Al Davis pick, for crying out loud.

Al Davis at least insisted his picks had top level speed, not slow for a safety speed.

I'm willing to take Crowell's grandmother over Sergio Brown.

Hopefully Wilson is a WTF who? pick like Vollmer rather than a WTF who? like Cunningham

even tho i like cunningham alot dont

To be perfectly fair, BB's 2nd rounders usually turn out as busts anyway. At least the expectations will be fittingly low with Wilson.

In most yea this pick turns into a 2013, 1st rounder.... This year it turns into a 7th round hail Mary pick... Way to go boys... Way to go:rolleyes:

Trumaine Johnson or Brandon Taylor would of been my picks at safety. I liked them better than Harrison Smith.

Probably Trumaine Johnson to Atlanta imo

I do think it would be funny if this was just an FU to the "draftniks" out there and he jsut keeps trying to trade and trade and trade to screw with everyone

I wonder which UDFA's BB signs have to go PS because you KNOW BB will keep a second rounder on the roster no matter what. If he really sucks in TC, it's the old IR route for Wilson.

This is probably a bigger reach then when Al Davis drafted Mike Mitchell a few years ago in the second round and was then laughed at by every NFL fan on the planet. Hope it works out.

Jesus, Alge looks pregnant.

How can any of us grade this pick, dosen't that get done ~ 3 years out...surely the Patriots brass know something on this kid.

...come on guys...

Alge ate a goddamn cheeseburger

Konz super value but dude can't stay on the field.
