How is he a bum? I'm not some crazy Ocho supporter, but why the hate? What has he done since he got here except, by all accounts, do everything he's been asked to?

Hey, he had the sickest feet of all receivers among Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace in their workout video. It means nothing, but he still is in shape. Physical decline isn't the big issue here, it's mental.

I wanted him gone at the end of the season. He's a JAG as far as I'm concerned. But he took a paycut, he is supposedly trying his best, and he costs us pennies since he took a voluntary paycut, so good for him.

Ocho is flailing trying to climb the Patriots mountain, and wants to keep reading the trail guidebook, but that summit has never looked higher. Maybe he'll put on his gear and train for the top all off-season... if not, the Pats have brought in a lot of other climbers to compete.

The only thing that gives me a soft spot for Ocho is that he knows that, and entertains us all with his own acknowledgement. Might be part of his shtick, but his words at the Super Bowl make me a believer Chad is forever genuine and wanted nothing more than to be a contributor to a team he idolized.

None of this matters for the Pats next season, though. It's a very interesting side story for a small role next year. If he gets cut in preseason I wouldn't give a **** at all.

Pretty sure he was asked to catch more than 15 balls or however many he caught and asked to learn the playbook

Hope his reality TV show is going well..just what he needs after his great year last year...i really hope he does horrible this year so we can just get rid of him

Wouldn't you rather he do well and help the team win, unlikely or not?

No, that was when he played here and DID get the system

Then why give him a six-year deal worth $30 million with $3.5 million guaranteed only to let him go after only one year?

Stallworth might spend just one year with Patriots - NFL - ESPN
It's after the 2007 season, however, when the really big money could kick in.

For the Patriots to retain Stallworth for the 2008 season, they must pay him an option bonus of $6 million by Feb. 25, 2008. There is a subsequent roster bonus of $2 million due March 1, a second roster bonus of $1.6 million based on playing time, a base salary of $1 million and a $400,000 workout bonus. That totals an exorbitant $11 million for 2008, or a two-year total of $14.6 million.

Primarily because after signing him, the Patriots traded for Moss. After the 2007 season, they decided that Moss had more value, and he was the #1 WR.
You appear to be making up a result then concluding it could be the only reason for what occured.
It would be helpful to supply a single example of any evidence whatsoever that Stallworth struggled to learn the system.

I guess I wasn't overly impressed with him due to the contract we gave him and the numbers he put up, but considering he was on the field with Moss and Welker, 47 catches was more impressive then I gave him credit for. I didn't even realize he had that many. Anyone would look pedestrian next to moss and welker in 07. I also didn't realize they would've had to fork over 11 million to keep him. I was under the impression it was incentive laden. Regardless, I'm wrong (not the first time,, won't be the last) , he obviously got the system.

Lose the battle win the war, because I think his best days are far behind him, so in the end I don't see him having much a chance of making the team.

Ocho really must have nude pics of BB. Otherwise there's no explanation as for why BB keeps him on the roster.

Ocho HAD pictures of Wrecks Ryan but Cromartie got one of his nameless kids to sneak into Chad's crib and steal them...too bad....Chad would have made a great roomie for Sanphonyo "Me!" Holmes.

One thing that Chad has on his resume that those others doesn't have is SEVEN 1,000 yard receiving seasons. That's right, even Donte never cracked 1,000 not even in the record-breaking 2007 season. Of course I don't know if Chad will finally turn the 'light on' but I wouldn't bet against him. That's for sure.

He's running his mouth. He's currently filming his reality show set to air this summer. My guess is that he's doing some pre recruiting for that hot mess of a tv show. He may be slow to learn the Patriots system, but he's a social media genius/whore.
sigh...still, how some of you can actually think that Chad will be any better than last year blows my mind. AND, you are comparing a rookie year to a man....how old is he now? C'mon people. Chad, Donte, Tiquan and Gonazles will be fighting for that last WR spot. My money is on Donte. Chad will be told to hit the streets. I could see him in black and silver.

He also added a big and glaring 15 reception season on his resume under most recent employment. I've never seen a worse player get so much love from Patriots fans. Can't Kraft just take the boys to Justin Beiber concerts and cut out the middle man so the Patriots aren't wasting a roster spot?

It's 2012. It didn't happen last season, nothing is going to magically turn on this season. He's done. D-O-N-E DONE.

EXACTLY! I never saw a peson so undeserving get so much love from the fans. Bandwagon - twitter loving - younger fans, for sure. I was at a game where the Pats were playing the Jets and I swear Chad's reception in that game got the biggest cheer. Sickening, really.

Actually, it's precisely the opposite. Never has a player gotten this much undeserved vitriol from the fan base that I can remember.

We get it, he didn't pan out last year, and that sucks. But from the asinine Twitter fixation on down the line, some people are simply unable to keep their marbles together when it comes to the guy. It's bizarre, quite frankly.
