I don't know what we have to do make sure it doesn't go ahead, but we need to.

I was one of those people that used to say 'pffft how can a video game cover be a curse' then i saw the numbers of those players go down and some of them getting season ending injuries and i thought it's too crazy to be superstition.

I don't know what it is but there is definitely a madden curse and Hillis last season is just yet more proof.

The last player we need out next year is Gronk and in my opinion i think his popularity will win him the cover vote so somehow we need to stop it or Mr.Kraft needs to object to it.

i agree. i dont want him on the cover either. gonna be tough to beat him though. hes so likeable.

Well it would make me use them now in Madden 13 with Stallworth and Brandon LIyod on the outsides. The Patriots outside WR's in Madden 12 were putrid.:snob:

the curse was retro active which is why he got hurt before the super bowl even the madden curse is scared of gronk

I hope he gets the cover

lol@ anyone who believes in curses

remember when drew brees got injured the year he was on it? How about the time Tom Brady was on it and got his knee torn up? No way we can afford to lose gronk.

Brady wasn't on it.

Just vote for the Jets players to go on it. ;)

Are you kidding me? Gronk is indestructible!

Hear me, if Gronk gets on the Madden Cover, I promise I will John Wayne Bobbitt my penis in protest. May that serve as a disincentive to voters.

It's REALLY a stretch to say that Brees was cursed because he lost in the Wild Card round. Really?!?!

If Tom Brady was on the cover last year, the article would say that he was cursed because he lost in the Super Bowl to the Giants (again). Is that really a curse?

These days we are LOOKINg for reasons to claim that someone is cursed. In some of the articles you see that they claim that guys are cursed because they got hurt in the playoffs. That happens. Gronk got hurt this year and was not on the cover.

If Aaron Rodgers was on the cover this year they would be saying that he was cursed because he lost his first playoff game after a great regular season.

So, just to recap, the ONLY way that someone will claim the Madden curse to be broken is if somebody......

1.) Graces the Madden Cover
2.) Remains healthy for all 16 games and playoffs
3.) Has a Pro Bowl Season
4.) Wins the Super Bowl

All four must happen for all to agree the curse is officially over. With that checklist, it's no wonder that the curse continues.

Reasons to vote for Gronk - Madden 13!!!

the whole thing is a joke

1) sample size
2) injuries happen often in the NFL, it's a rough sport
3) guys who make the Madden cover usually do so because they just had a career year, making their regression to the mean less than surprising

You can laugh at it all you want but the history of the madden cover players is there whether you want to believe it or not.

i just voted against grokenstien. here's hoping revis is on the cover.

Heaven forbid one of our players gets a lucrative endorsement like the Madden cover. Heard it's around $100-200k (that was in 2008). I say get them rich any way possible, so when we low ball them, they're more inclined to stay ;)

call me crazy but im not worried about nfl players not having enough money:rolleyes:
