Manning to Broncos

Manning will make the Broncos a much better team. I am very relieved Manning did not go to the Niners. They would have been a jugernaught.

Two big reasons why Peyton is going to be a Bronco. 1) The Donks are willing to give him complete control of their offense. 2) Dollars. This is his last time to score an enormous long term contract playing football. He has a lot of bucks already, and his future, if he can stay healthy overall are bright (he has already assured his legacy), but this is his last chance to earn huge football playing dollars.

The Fivehead will make Tebowmania a distant memory in Denver, for better or worse....

I see Denver as the best situation for Manning.

I think the rest of the league has noticed how good Brady was in the no huddle offense.

In Denver, Manning is going to run opposing defenses into the ground in that thin atmosphere. Going to Denver to play Manning is going to be death for a lot of teams. They will be 8-0 up there. They finish 13-3 for the season.

Next year's AFC championship is Patriots v. Broncos.

I just don't know which stadium will host it.

What have you been smoking? Puff,Puff pass!

Check out this 2012 Broncos schedule.
Good luck Peyton!! ;)

Broncos vs. Patriots is gonna be much more interesting this year :)

Well, i guess the division favorites are pretty much set. NE/AFCE, Houston/AFCS, Denver AFCW, and Baltimore AFCN, although there will be more debate about the AFCN than the others, with some taking Pitt or Cincy.

San Diego fans have got to be concerned that their window of opportunity has passed them by, they have been the perennial favorites the past 6 years or so and now it will be Denver for the nest few years.

This tells us that Peyton is not about winning. If he was about winning, he'd be signing a deal in San Francisco.

I really don't think we can underestimate how much he did not want to be in a position to keep baby brother from his shots at another SB. Blood is indeed thicker than a lot of things.

They want to play each other in the Superbowl

He really likes horsies huh?

I'm always nervous about assigning "division favorites" in March, but yeah, in general you're right there.

However, I think your San Diego point is a bigger story. Rivers is starting his ninth season in the League. If this is curtains on the next two or three years, then Troy Brown and that loss to the Pats in the AFCCG are going to haunt him forever.

I am beginning to think that the 49'ers might be completely hosed. Alex Smith is in Miami and they lost out on Manning. Who plays QB?

Outdoor stadium, that'll make things interesting.

Miami didn't get Smith signed before this news broke. Smith will head back to SF as fast as air transportation will take him.

Smith sucks, so I doubt not getting smith = getting hosed.

So, anyone got odds on the Broncos signing Saturday and Clark?

Wow, I honestly didn't think he'd be going to Denver, but there are a few key points that make sense in hindsight. Denver is a pretty good team that made the playoffs last year and I just can't see KC or Oakland challenging for the division. SD could be a problem, but they've dropped off a cliff that last two seasons. If Manning plays anywhere near his previous level, it's almost a free trip to the playoffs.

And I think it's pretty obvious that Elway didn't want to stick with Tebow for the long run, but how were they ever going to dump him after last season? Easy, bring in the only guy that would get people more excited.

IMO I'd love to offer a 3rd round pick or lower for Tebow at this point. Before anyone says that's bad value, what have we done with other third round picks? Mallet who is sitting behind Hoyer on the depth chart? Tyrone Mckenzie? Taylor Price? It would be a great move if he's willing to switch positions.

I dunno. Never underestimate the wrath of a caddy scorned. :)

As irrational as I agree it would be to give up that D in San Francisco, he might just want a fresh start after years of being jerked around.
