As long as they don't overpay and I doubt they do

If 4 teams are really interestred in him -someone will overpay for him

Is Landry really worth it? He just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. He seems to always be injured.

Yes, but look at it this way, between him at safety and Ras-I at CB, we may be able to get 6 combined games out of them. :)

I'd be surprised if this guy is not on some sort of PED.

Can't imagine the extra weight he's put on is good for his achilles.

He looks like he ate Peyton Hillis. No thanks

Get a price check, and then bring him in for a physical and a good look at that Achilles.

Maybe he means on Neptune or something.
If he's looking like that recently, at 6'0 tall he'd need to be at least 5 inches shorter allowing for that sort of physical development to be around 220 given that picture.

That's a big looking Safety.

Unless it's a tear, Achilles injuries can heal without surgery but it takes a while, since there's not a lot of blood circulation in that area. It's also pretty easy to test as part of a physical. Worth a look, for sure.

Could be Rodney redux.

this guy's a suspension walking around looking for a contract. holy cow. I know, i know, innocent until proven...blah blah blah. He fails the eye test, I can see that.

He fails mister magoo's eye test!

I lived in Dc until 2010 , so i watched a lot redskins games and this guy is not what we need. He is more in the mould of the old style strong safety . He was most effective close to the line of scrimmage , and is not very good in coverage. He always wants to make the big hit but whiffs a lot or ends up injuring himself. With Chung already here we need a pure cover safety

Makes complete sense.

How can a guy that bulked up be good in coverage.

Landry is just a faster Chung. Granted Chung missed some time and we could of used a guy like Landry last year. Landry would probably have to take backup safety money to be part of the team next year. In fact, it may benefit him to be a backup so he'll have less of a chance of getting hurt and contribute all year

Apparently he's coming in Friday (too lazy to link, via PFT like everything else). I hope to God if they sign him he proves me wrong because I no likey.

Might as well sign him. The guy has a lot of issues for sure but I don't see many better options.

Thats the key. If he's healthy he would be a great addition.
But Achilles injuries have a way of becoming debilitating and career threatening.

Isn't McCourty that cover safety?

Why would he take backup money? Why would he need to? Why would we only offer that?
If he isn't going to be healthy paying him the vet minimum is almost as bad as 4mill, because you still are counting on the guy, and limiting your other options.
If he is healthy he, he is worth a lot. If he is not, he isn't worth clogging a spot on the 80 man roster.
