Everyone's calling him an ass, but let's face it, you'd all root for him if the Pats signed him and say you love his "passion".

I wont. if he comes to NE i'll be so pissed. i dont need that ugly dude with our pats uniforms, no thanks. he has JET written all over him.

He's a complete ass, but if we sign him, I'd welcome him like I did Rodney Harrison, who became my all time favorite Patriot.

A friend of mine is a Titans fan, and initially, he felt the same way that we did about Harrison. It turned into just being annoying though because his intention isn't to lay down the law, be an enforcer, etc. He just wants to irritate people. He does that quite well.

Lions might pursue Titans free-agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

Maybe as the article states,He saw what Joseph got from Houston and wants the same.

Joseph is a better CB IMO and was the big difference in that Texans secondary that was burned repeatedly in 2010.

He's a perfrect fit for the Lions considering how dirty he is and how much schwartzy loves that crap. If he goes to Detroit, the Lions will set a record for penatlies in a year.

Mr. Finnegan, Redskins are on line one!!

The only thing this guy deserves....is a swift and forceful kick to the nutsack...preferably from Andre Johnson who is wearing steel toed cleats. I fU*king despise that little weasel!

this times 406 billion

I'd rather drop $6 million on a safety and hope that McCourty rebounds than drop $8-$10 million on a corner and hope McCourty can play safety.

In theory, that sounds good. But where is that $6 mil safety? Goldson is one, but he'll probably get tagged by SF - the franchise tag is just slightly over $6 mil. I don't think there's any other FA safety worth anywhere near that kind of money.

That said, I would rather have Carr over Finnegan, but I wouldn't pay much more than the 4/22 the Pats gave Bodden 2 years ago for either of them. I think 4/28 tops for Carr.

Carr is reportedly going to be looking for more than the 5/$50 his teammate got, and neither Carr nor Finnegan would take what you're offering.

As for what's available at safety, if you can get Branch/Griffin/Goldson for under $6 million, I'm fine with that. I was just comparing CB numbers to safety numbers with the 6 v. 8-10 thing.

Fair enough. I would put safety as a higher need than corner. My point is that I don't see that one big-time player at either position. I think there's enough need and cap room to sign starting-caliber players at both positions.

Link?

As for the demands...good. I want him nowhere near this team. Guy is an overrated degenerate and watching Andre Johnson beat the crap out of him was one of my favorite schadenfreude moments of recent memory.

Agreed! I don't condone violence, but that was fantastic!

I think the guy is as competitive as it gets and like Rodney, gives it a little bit of an extra shove or push after each play. I don't think he was expecting Andre to beat his @$$ like that but if you take that incident away, he's is still a really good player who's antics now seem to overshadow his abilities as a player. He would automatically be our best DB if he comes here. He'll add toughness and guarantee will become a fan favorite.

This is pretty much spot on, he's a decent corner, but there is sometimes when he's missed his man he's looking around to see what happened when he's gotten burned. He's had a couple of good years, back in 08-09, but he's not worth the 10M that is being rumored.

It's Cortland Innegan.......................
