...interesting obviously because there are 4 definite first rounders coming out of the draft from Bama this year.

Also lots of other SEC players he knows a lot about. I also read on a 'Bama board that Bill and Nick had dinner together the night before.

Hopefully he can get Saban to talk Hightower into staying on the board until they pick...............

Absolutely, what he thinks about LSU players he planned against.

Pros Cons of certain teams.

I love the draft and its small tidbits like this one that make a ton of sense 5 days after the draft.

Will this become some kind of scandal on sports talk radio??? He must have other work to do beside play golf on the West Coast.

Perhaps Florio can make this into some sort of scandal..

I dont believe theres anyway he drafts Hightower even if he's there.

They're close friends and have been for a long time.

Always good to have close contacts in the college ranks..

BB has a close relationship with a few college coaches and he regards their inputs on players probably as much as he does the Patriot scouts...maybe even more...

Inside info is always nice to have, especially on the top picks and when picking later in the draft they may be able to point out some diamonds in the rough that can be either drafted late or signed as UDFA's....

What is Bill Belichick doing playing golf!?! They lost the Super Bowl! Golf? How is golf going to help us?

He simply doesn't care.

Belichik may get to the Stadium at 4:00 am and leave at midnight but he doesn't realize that there are Patriot fans who are already up and posting when he gets there and still up and posting when he slacking off at home or on the course.

It's no wonder they lose so much.

He's perfecting the golf ball cam :p

For all of our sakes I am glad he was golfing and not dancing shirtless to LMFAO.

Didn't mean to hijack thread. Big 10 isn't nearly as good as the SEC. But, having Urban Meyer and Bill O'Brien coaching in that league should help.

Done with the interview? There was no interview.

Maybe he was worried we'd ask about the NFL Films audio. Or about the heartbreaking loss to the Giants. Or about that new driver of his.

Saban was less guarded. Then again, Saban's Bama team just won the national championship a month ago. In fact, Belichick grilled Saban about a handful of Bama's draftable players during the round.

Draft them Billy!

Bill will keep his shirt on (I hope), so he should have no issues.

Eighteen holes of golf to discuss SEC and Alabama players before the draft, is a great way to scout.

I still suspect and thsi tends to affirm, that Nick is the Bill Belichick designate to replace himself when he steps down in a half dozen years, or so.

Belichick knows that being a good on-field Coach is just a small part of the job for a successful program. You have to be able to run the organization from top to bottom, like a very successful HC of a big time college team does. Nick's Coaching philosophies are also aligned with Bill's, so a team he took over, would not be stripped of some players to implement another approach.

Like Bill, Nick has served as a assistant NFL coach, and also had a term as a NFL Head Coach to see the problems and contemplate what you need from an organization, from ownership on down in order to suceed. Like Bill, he too walked away from an organizational situation just not set up to do so. Discretion is the better part of valor. It also indicates intelligence and maturity.

I was the bug on BB's driver after he decided not to use it again and I heard them talking about Mark Barron. Yep, with the Saints pick, the Patriots select Mark Barron, safety from Alabama.

He favors meriweather in looks. I pray, I pray.
