His comments were insulting to all Pats fans, players and the entire region he claims to "love" when he talks to WEEI, but claims to "struggle with" when he speaks in NY. Fraud.

Even tried the Gisele analogy. Glen's an idiot. But I think he's a little ascared his buddy indeed crossed the line. Thing is it's not about him being a Giants fan or fan of his kid's team. It's about him mocking us to regain stature with his Giants audience. He says the Mara's helped him through a tough time. I guess the Cowboys who drafted him were mere enablers. The Giants also let him go, and he bounced to the JETS before landing here with Bill and Bill again - who likely had a lot more to do with his even getting a job with the Giants than the Mara's who likely hardly knew who the long snapper was. And his limited skillset aside, he doesn't win a ring as a Giant if not for the DC whose game plan is in the HOF. And he doesn't get a shot at breaking in to Boston radio if not for the last Kraft owned team he played for and the HS and college teams he played for in the city whose projects he grew up in... He owes a lot of people besides the Mara's for his ring and his salvation and his post football career. All of them NE connections. From the old Sunday Sports Page radio show on WBZ to Lobel for giving him a shot at TV when his presentation was painful to say the least to Ordway and WEEI for utilizing him because of his Belichick connections as the popularity of the NEP exploded after 2002 which allowed him to build a veritable cottage industry paired with Fred the ultimate homer tied to NE tailgating and eventually a restaurant they could hype to patsfans. And he told them all he now apparently struggles to balance that against his love for the Giants and how he feels more at home in a swamp.

So give up the charade and go where you feel at home, Steve. We'd all be happier. Oh wait, what? You can live anywhere you want and you've chosen NE as your home? You want us to judge you by the body of your work as an analyst? Pahleese... Until WEEI downsized you were largely right wingnut Fly Freddy Smerlas straight man and foil. The only thing worse than a fraud is an arrogant fraud dumb enough to bite the hand that feeds him and covered all his dui and divorce lawyer and alimony payments... Cause the Mara's didn't...

Same thing when Tomasse attempted to resurface. He could be transferred to the Sox beat and limited to TV and print so the fans couldn't get at him. Not sure what they could transfer or limit DeOssie to...

People should give Steve some Yelp Review Loving in the reviews for 'Fred & Douchebags Steakhouse....

Even though he was only on the phone via remote as opposed to in studio and taking questions from callers, DeOssie seemed to be dancing all over the place.

On the tape from the pep rally he talks about other pregame show analysts commenting about the Pats receiver corp and Brady as elements supportive of the opinion that the Pats would win. DeOssie goes on in the tape to acknowledge those assets and then goes on to point out how hard it is to throw the ball with JPP and Tuck pressuring you (big boisterous voice inflection here).

On the phone with WEEI he claims to have made the comments about those Pats assets. That is not what he did. He acknowledged the comments of others about those assets and then went on to point out why the Giants DL would mitigate those assets. He did not make those comments himself. A small difference to be sure but an example of Steve backpedaling and trying to color his participation differently than what you hear on the tape. Made me lose even more respect for the guy if I had any left.

I think Ordway is one of DeOssie's partners in at least one or maybe more than one of these NE business ventures. I could be wrong but I think I could sense some concern on Ordway's part.

In fact Ordway was saying something about how they were thinking that they would do something early next year at the NE Pats Tailgate Party business that he runs together with DeOssie and Freddy Smerlas to try to make light of this whole thing and put it behind them that way and Holly said "I would not do that if I were you" and was really advising strongly against the business partners involved trying to "joke" their way out of this mess. You could sense the dismay in Ordway listening to Holly basically telling him he was nuts if he thought trying to joke their way out of this was the right thing to do. Ordway is clearly hoping this whole thing just goes away but has his doubts.

I don't care if Deossie supports the Giants. What I care about is how he took advantage of everyone in New England and faked it all these years. The video was so over the top that this is all I can think about him now. He's a fraud. Pretending to suck up to the locals in an effort to take their money is pitiful.

The problem with this is that the season is over and football talk is over, so this will most likely will blow over. I won't forget this though, and I will boycott any station and any show that has him on it in the future, and I will make sure to voice my complaint next season if if he on any shows.

Btw, I emailed the 98.5 crew the video this morning and got a response that said it was interesting and thanking me for the video. I don't know if they talked about it on their show though as I wasn't able to listen.

One reason that Holly might have been trying to talk Ordway out of the partners in the NE Pats Tailgate business doing something "humorous" early next year as a way to put this behind them is that it might be as far in the rear view by then as it is going to get and bringing it up in a humorous light would likely just add insult to injury.

I don't think Ordway is so obtuse that he did not understand that. I just think he was hoping to bounce that off Holly and get a better reaction from Holly than he got. Ordway's mood clearly went downhill after Holly's comments.

DeOssie fancies himself as a media savvy "player" these days and he is frankly way behind the curve.

I emailed WEEI this morning, told them I'm boycotting them so long as DeOssie is affiliated with them. I'd encourage every other self-respecting Patriots fan to do likewise.

Family always comes first, and it should. I have no problems with him cheering for his son's team. He probably shouldn't work in NE anymore, but I have no hard feelings toward him.

Just saw the video. If it's such a struggle for you DeOssie living and working up here in New England you'd never know it. Not the way you have your tongue up BB's ass every week, yucking it up with Wilfork, etc. Go to hell. I don't give a damn that you picked NYG to win, I don't care that you're proud that your Son plays there, whatever, no problem with that. But the smack talk, that crap about how much of a struggle it is for you up here crosses the line. Youre a phony. Do the right thing EEI, 5th Quarter, NE Tailgate....fire his ass.

I saw and did exactly as you did. I'll reiterate what I feared yesterday: he's going to walk away from this unscathed because he's part of the good ol' boy media fraternity around here. Despite their phony differences which they present to us for entertainment value, they're thick as thieves with one another when the chips are down.

That fraternity is the root of all that is wrong with Boston Sports media. Short of a murder conviction there is almost nothing one of their own can't do they won't circle the free speech wagons and cover your ass on. That is why their hypocritical treatment of any shortcomings, real or imagined, of this team and frankly all of them over the years is so nauseating.
