Who is wearing Pats gear today?

If this question was asked on February 4th 2008 I wonder what difference in answers we would have....certainly more fans finding it hard to go out in Pats gear.

Still wearing Pats gear today just as I was on the day after Super Bowl 42.

Last year I went to a Dr's appointment the day after, and one of the nurses commented...you're the first person I 've seen all day wearing Pats gear.

We lost the Super Bowl. Yes, that sucks, really bad....but we still made it to the Super Bowl. We shouldn't be ashamed to wear Pats gear. I'm as disappointed as anyone but I'll still wear my gear.

Time for a back in the day story, back in the 70's & 80's, used to wait for the Sears Christmas and JC Penney Christmas Catalogs to see if they had any Pats gear. Every year it would come with a nice selection of Dallas, NY Giants, Chicago, Washington and Miami gear. But never a hint of Patriots gear was to be found.

The first piece of Pats Gear was a "Squish the Fish" T-Shirt in '85... my how things have changed, and now wear it proudly all the time. Wear a Pats Visor when I play golf, have a Pats Towel on my golf bag.. in the winter wear either a hoodie or a fleece with Pats stuff on it. When I go to dinner wear a Patriots Golf Shirt..

There was a time when I went to work on Sundays and all of the Miami and Jets Fans were lined up with their "puke green" jackets... and there was nothing for us. So payback is bytch.. moth... ers.

Wear it proud, you are Pats Fans...

I am. No matter how bad this team is or if they lose the next 3 sb's..i will always be a true fan unlike half the bandwaggoners out there i see posting here and on FB

GO PATS

I am wearing a Guns N Roses t-shirt because it is Axl's birthday. Otherwise I would be wearing a Pats shirt.

Wore my Pats jacket into work today. Everyone here is pretty cool with it, they all know what a Pats fan I am. There's been a steady stream of people stopping by my area to offer support/condolences, and the occasional jabs about Eli being clutch.

The thread out here today about the string of heartbreaking losses hit home for me - it -has- been tough to endure those endings the past few years, but we're still amazingly lucky to have a great team that's always in the mix. Sometimes it takes fans of other teams to provide that perspective. My Vikings friends out here constantly give me grief if I get too whiny about things like Superbowl losses :)

i was thinking the same thing this morning even before i saw this thread , im wearing a pats t shirt ( a clean one) this day, im proud of the team and i know theyll be back next season to give tfb12 another ring:rocker:

Yeah, if you're still a home town guy I'm sure its fine. For those of us who live in hostile states (see: anywhere outside of New England), wearing around pats gear is asking for an argument.

Homers always think sportsmanship and fandom is so easy because its hard to have any perspective from inside the fishbowl.

True

It's probably easy to get away with in NE. But damn do I get heckled a lot in Montana.

And that's when we're looking like the best team in the league. I'd get in half a dozen fights if I wore my jersey today.

Meh, I wear my Pats hat everyday...today is no different.

I sure did! I am rockin' my pats t-shirt! I am still proud to be a Pats fan!

Wore my Pats hat all day today. Dropped off some sheet metal and the guys gave me some good natured **** but they're all Seahawk fans so.... meh.

Just because I'm angry at them for blowing yet another Super Bowl doesn't mean I'm going to bail on them.

GO PATS

I did, I entered the boston sub way system and I ended up standing right next to a guy in full Giants gear.. he looked at me and smirked then looked away. Definitely wouldn't have gone well for that dude if he felt like rubbing it in.

I didn't, but it was more because all my Pats gear is dark and we spent the day at Busch Gardens here in Tampa. It was sunny and 80 almost all day, I was just trying to keep us cool and comfortable.

My car has a back window Pats graphic, so I am ALWAYS representing!

Here in the midwest, I wore my Patriots sweatshirt to the gym and to walk the dog this morning and I was proud to do it.

Sure, i'm in my sweatshirt.

I was also wearing a Pats T shirt but I blew my nose in it, so I had to change.:D

I am. Pats fan since "Plunkett to Vataha" :D

No reason to stop now.

schit I'll wear this stuff to bed if the Pats acquire someone like a Vincent Jackson or....

Walked the Dog in a Pats coat today
Felt good
Next year we killum all :D

I am but it's because I haven't showered yet (west coast, though). I'll wear whatever I would have worn when I go out.

I'm not expecting much grief since I'm in California, but as others have said, if anybody did happen to give me a hard time, it could escalate fairly quickly. :)

OK, so no issues, even from the one Giants fan I came across, who simply said "tough game, we got some breaks." One guy acknowledged wanting the Pats to lose b/c he's a Steelers fan but empathized -- completely respected that as well.

I woke up this morning very hungover and still wearing my Pats shirt which had half a bottle of Jameson all over it.

Does that count?

I did the day after Super Bowl 42 but now I look at it differently. I see it as kinda douchey/ poor sportsmanship to wear it after a big loss. Like what are you trying to prove by wearing it? Unless of course you are someone that always wears your teams gear, in which case im fine with that. Its the people that do it just to try and remind everyone they are still a loyal fan that bugs me.

But to each his/her own I guess. I can't blame anyone that is wearing Pats gear today, Im glad they are true enough to their team to do it. I just like to wait for the hype to die out first now.
