Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

I love Tam and Bill.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

That "patchwork" defense is the reason we came one play from a win. The offense was inconsistent and Tom Brady didn't look like the Tom Brady we know and love.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

It could be the case. I hope not though, I hope they have at least one more run in them.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

We have plenty of picks in the draft ! Which we wil ltrade for more picks in the future year, and in Rd 2 we will again draft some useless WR who cannot comprehand our offense.

The board will biatch about pass rushers, which ofcourse BB will once again pass on since nobody in college football can learn our defensive system

That's been the story since 2005.....

Well, at 35 provided he can stay healthy, the window is max 2-3 years. It would not shock me this was the swan song

Simply put, gave away another SB

Another thing that pisses me off, Patriots have been disrespected by their opponents two straight years in a row but do nothing about it...

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

I agree, this was the last time we're in the superbowl with Bill O'Brien and Tom Brady...

I wish I could just lose my composure and go on a major rant, release and cursing spree, but I think it's going to take me some time to slowly release what I feel tonight.

Hang in there Pats fans. We'll be alright.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

At Brady's current rate of one every two years, he's probably got 2-3 chances left...

This.

Brady's started 10 seasons (2001-2007, 2009-2011), made it to five SBs.

He's been a lot more inconsistent as of late, to be sure, but I wouldn't bet against him making it to the Super Bowl next year, either.

Nowhere near the sting of SB 42. Sucks though. Hate seeing the shine on Brady's legacy lose some more luster.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

I hate to admit it. A 13-3 record and a last minute Super Bowl loss tells me its time to blow it up. Get rid of Brady. Get rid of Belichick. Get Rich Kotite on the telephone and build a winner.

Seriously, this team far better than the original poster ever imagined they could two months ago. And he has been waiting for 12 weeks to make this thread.

I'm in pain but much, much less than in SB42. Come to think of it. If it was me on defense with 20 seconds left trying to stop an offense at midfield who needs a TD, I'll put 12 guys on the field all day long. Takes time off the clock, you prevent any big play from happening because you have more guys on the field, and you only give up 5 yards for burning like 6 seconds.

Why 12? Put 15 out there.

Re: this was the last time were in the sb with bill and brady

Geez, another escaped doorknob joins the party. I believe there's room in the drainage ditch for you alongside the OP.
Apologists abound, yet You will not see them hoist another Lombardi while BB and TB coexist in New England. The clutch play is missing. Keep your rose colored glasses handy. You'll be needing them...

Chin up Wes! Everyone makes mistakes.

Everyone lay the blame on that b*stard Bernard Pollard!

Once again... for the 5th time... CAN WE GET A PASS RUSH PLEASE???!

I post this message every year. After every agonizing loss. After every time we bend-and-break at a critical time.

I'll start by saying we lost tonight for a LOT of reasons -- both offensively (mostly their fault in this one) and defensively. Pass rush was just one of many. But it's one that has bit us for YEARS and continues to bite us.

So here it is again. Take #5.

We were hurt badly in the 2nd half tonight AGAIN by a lack of a pass rush. Let's be honest -- our defense sucked most of the year, and we were lucky to make it to the SB. The fact that we lost it should be no huge surprise. Our boys did awesomely -- amazingly well -- with what they've got. We had a bit of pressure at the start of the game, but then it completely disappeared. We just let Manning air mail balls around the field at will. Fail.

This is a passing league, and the only -- ONLY -- way to beat a Manning or a Brees or a Rivers is to RUSH THE PASSER.

Can we for once get some blitzing talent? This "draft everyone except pass rushers" and "hire FAs that do everything except pass rush" strategy that we have used for about 6 years DOES NOT WORK.

I am so, so, so, so sick of us getting beat on 3rd and 14, or 3rd and 19, or 3rd and 11, or 3rd and 25. It's stupid. Every year our team has problems stopping 3rd and long. You can't lose a super bowl and be surprised when this is happening.

So please, Mr Kraft... Mr Bellichick... please, please get us some pass rushers this offseason. We need pressure on quarterbacks because current day rules make DBs impotent.

PLEASE!!

Man, I'd love to see Brady play a good playoff game against somebody other than the garbage Broncos. It's certainly not 2004 for this guy anymore, that's for sure.

Re: Once again... for the 5th time... CAN WE GET A PASS RUSH PLEASE???!

We sacked Eli a few times.

The Giants won the T.O.P, they scored 21, the 49ers defense gave up 20 to them, the Packers 37, the Falcons 24.

What do you guys honestly want?

spy gate is never goin away

Re: Once again... for the 5th time... CAN WE GET A PASS RUSH PLEASE???!

I wanted Peppers when the Bears got him

Re: Once again... for the 5th time... CAN WE GET A PASS RUSH PLEASE???!

Of all the reasons the Pats lost, I would say pass rush was very low on the list. In fact the pass rush was very good at times tonight.
