Unlike what the media is trying to hype, this is not about revenge, what we lost that day we as sports fans as well as Pats fans will never see again. If the result that day was different, instead of being compared to the best football team ever, we would have been named with the 27 Yankees and the 96 Bulls as the greatest team ever. But that is the past, not what today is about.
Today is about the redemption of the greatest QB/HC combo in the history of this great sport. This pair has vanquished many of foes, the vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers, the "Greatest show on turf" the man who many say is the best QB of this era and forced his GM to change the rules to benefit them, even inside of our division, a loud mouth from Jersey (despite the playoff loss last year.) Now from the depths of Jersey, maybe now our greatest rival, and now what will be our greatest conquest. The younger brother of our greatest rival now stands in front of this team, and its chance to regain its place on the top of the mountain. And the funny thing is, just like ten years ago, we are the underdogs, despite what Vegas is saying.
Going into today, we are facing the greatest team in history once again, if you believe the media hype. It feels like 10 years ago when after an epic Super Bowl clash some kicker, can't remember his name said and I paraphrase "Nobody believed in us but us." But much like fateful day 10 years ago, a team from New England is poised to once again shock the world, and shoot another shot in the face of football royalty, both from Jersey and the Manning family.
Redemption begins in about an hour, sit back, enjoy the ride. I think this is why I am so calm and have been calm, because our coaches and our players have prepared this team for what today is, and we will be ready to bring 60 minutes of hard work, knowing what needs to be done today, hopefully ending with a 4th title.
So basically Aaron Rodgers just said the Giants are going to fake injuries in a no-huddle situation.
