I know Carter picked the Giants big. Mortensen picked the Giants big. Brian Billick and his side kick on NFL Matchup both picked the Giants. Was drivng, channel surfing on Sirius Sports channels last night and all the talking heads like the Giants, with the exception of Mad Dog, and even he said "the Giants have a better defense, and better receivers, and a coach who matches up with Belichick, and a great 4th quarter QB - I like the Patriots".

You'd think we were 14 point underdogs and not 3 point favorites. Weird!

Does anybody else feel good about the fact that the masses think we'll lose? I feel great about it.

I know it will sure make a victory that much sweeter

I find it bizarre to be honest. I have never seen a team that has played as poorly as the Giants have this season get their collective knobs shined the way they have. Judging from the way the media is acting you would think the Patriots are playing a hybrid of the 85 Bears and Montana's 49ers.

It's safe to say that the Giants are THE BEST TEAM EVER!

I don't care one way or the other who's picking who or what the spread is.

What's this fascination with chris carter?

I'm watching NFL Countdown right now and Chris Carter is completely disrespecting the Pats...laughing at the defense, Edleman, and Belichick's coaching job this year while ball washing all the Giants. The rest are critical and favor the Giants but Carter is being a dic*. If all these analysts give us no chance, how is it we're favorites? Long week ahead for us.
I'm *always* laughing at Chris Carter the Analyst. Unlike Marshall Faulk, Chris is just plainly a buffoon.

I feel much better, I hate when everyone picks us, reminds me of 2007, Im not quite sure why everyone thinks this Giants team is so great, I even heard one guy today say he thinks the Giants should win in a blowout and on paper they're a much better team.
Its almost like everyone forgets all the Giants flaws and seem to harp on ours, its the strangest pre super bowl week I can remember.

I find it absolutely bizarre too. As a matter of fact, it's got me second guessing my gut-feeling (to be perfectly honest).

Everywhere you go, everywhere you look, on every channel and anything related to sports--everyone keeps talking about these "obvious mismatches" for the NYG etc. They even went as far to say that "on paper it's clearly obvious that this game is very one-sided." I suppose I am either looking at things through homer-colored glasses, or I am plain stupid when it comes to assessing football games; b/c I am missing something that everyone else is seeing.

During ESPN's Sportsnation tonight, they were live from outside the stadium. They asked how many people in the crowd were Pats fans...no one cheered, clapped, anything. They said that apparently "we have a total of at least 2" people in the audience rooting for the Patriots. I am not exaggerating, it seemed like every single person there was rooting for the Giants, and that includes all of the fans wearing Bears jerseys, Bengal jerseys etc. There was one kid with a sign with the hash tag of #Thepeopleagainstthepats.

I don't remember another SB in a while where it was so completely one-sided, not only with the media but also with the fans.

It definitely seems very, very strange to me. Terribly strange.

It's obviously going to be an extremely road-like environment. I just hope this young team is up to this challenge..

Me too, and I'm not 100% convinced that is necessarily a good thing.

Some of this has to be getting past the barrier that Belichick sets up, and it can either go one way or the other.

Either they take on an "us against the world" mentality, and use that to their advantage, or it's the 2010 Jets playoff game all over again.

People hate the Patriots. They hope its really like 2007 again. Give me the more consistent team.

I know that, after all I have to suffer through it everyday living here in Pittsburgh. What I don't completely understand, is how many of the regular fans/neutral fans can't at least appreciate some of the "feel good" things about this team.

When you build a team with a bunch of UDFA's, cast-offs, and no-names, who treat the media and other team with respect and admiration, do their jobs, stay out of the negative news, and overachieve---how can people NOT want to appreciate that?

About 85-90% of the general public are acting like they've been die hard Giant fans for yrs.

I knew there was a huge amount of hate and envy around the league, but I think I may have underestimated it.

How about them apples...

i still dont understand how he didnt get in. the guy was amazing

Re: Chris Carter's laughing at Pats chances

Seems kinda average to diss a player's career because he's an incredibly poor analyst.
