Early....But who are your inactives?

Ridley, IMO, is the most dynamic RB on either team from what we've seen. His speed, quickness, and balance is like a combination of Benny/Danny or Bradshaw/Jacobs.

I certainly hope he's active, I really believe that this Giants D can be gashed by the run more than ever in recent years, I'd love to see 7-10+ runs for each of the backs, adjust based on who is running most effectively, obviously.

I think the RBs who are active will be

BJGE/Ridley
Woodhead/Faulk

I can't see Woodhead being left without backup, especially since Hernandez' availability to be in the backfield isn't assured given the tender Gronkle.

It's early in the week yet, but I get the feeling that Johnson will be active this week.

Mallett
Williams
Vereen
Underwood
McDonald
Thomas
Guyton

Re: Ridley active

Clearly Rids has a future ahead of him as Head Coach, already in his rookie year setting the game day active list!

Can't think that sits too well with BB. I bet he already is giving Scar an earful for letting word out that Vollmer is playing. Or maybe it's part of the master plan? :confused2:

Faulk
Guyton
Mallet
McDonald
OchoCinco
Thomas
Vereen

I wasn't going to put Chad ... but today's media event tells me he already knows he is not playing.

I simply don't see anyway Faulk is inactive for this game, I'm in no way saying he'll have a big statistical game, but this is exactly the kind of game that we asked him to return for. I obviously don't know this for a fact, but when Tom knows a blitz is coming, I don't think he feels as comfortable with anyone standing next to/behind him than Kevin on 3rd down. For that alone I would keep him active.

If Tom stays comfortable we should be in business.

There is no way IN HELL that Faulk sits.

I really doubt he will be inactive, because if he is, there's no backup for Woodhead (in terms of being a 3rd down or hurry up back).

Yeah, something's up with 85, no doubt about it.

He looked pretty sulky.

With 4 RB's expected, what do they do with Polite then?

I figured he may have been in on blitz help, but now I'm wondering.

I do hope Ocho is active.I have more confidence in him making a play then Underwood.

I think its a mistake not playing Ocho. How does a guy like Underwood play ahead of ocho?I know Ocho has been a big bust but i am sure he can make a couple of plays in the game.

I think this is a game where the wrs have to make plays.Guys like Welker and Branch have to get separation and make plays.

That's a tough call. You want Polite for short yardage situations and as a FB. He's nearly unstoppable when it comes to converting 3rd and short.

Do we then go with 5 RB's?

I think all of our DB's will be active.

Tough calls all.

I agree that 5 RBs would be nice.

BB regretted skimping on DL in the Philly Super Bowl.

With Vollmer long hurt, OTs acting as 3rd TE, and the Gronkle a concern, 7 OL counting Vollmer is a bit of a risk. (That said, I'd expect BB to go with the customary 7 even so.)

Every inactive is regrettable in some way or other.

Re: Vollmer and Ridley active, who sits ?

I can't see Ridley playing. Only way he plays if the Pats are up 3 scores and then I'd be shocked. Like the kid but hasn't proved to hold onto the ball. I would have figured they would have given him snaps right after he fumbled the last time when they were up multiple scores.

Re: Vollmer and Ridley active, who sits ?

Man, poor kid just does not know BB. Just by announcing to the world he was going to be dressed & active in advance he has reduced the likelihood of it happening.
