I always like to be at a party where there are ignorant clowns, just in case I need to unleash my rage at anyone. :)

Other'n that, I could be in any size of gathering in any place on a given Super Bowl Sunday. I like it eclectic.

However, there are a few constants: the Essentials, if you will:

My self.
My Bro.
Sam Adams.
Ron Bacardi.

So Let It Be Written.

SO LET IT BE DONE

this is a true story...and yes..not only am I superstitious..I'm nutty enough to think this is true....a few months ago I went to the Pro Shop at the Razor to buy early Christmas gifts...while there I bought this toque in the bargain bin...a leftover from 2010...I've worn it the last ten games and have not taken it off until the final second has ticked off....my girl thinks I'm nuts...my brother, a psychologist, wants to have me studied and a case history drawn up...my friends tell me..."make sure you're wearing the hat!!" the last month going into the playoffs... I think it's the hat...I BURNED the one I wore to the previous 2009 Ravens and Jets playoff games...yeah...I'm telling ya'...it's the hat...if any of you guys have a similar experience with any article of clothing, then we MUST collectively wear our superstition without exception!!!!...we need all the help we can get..from wherever it is that this comes from....

Keep wearing that b!tch, Joker. No sense in doubting it now.

I not only changed my jersey after the 3rd quarter (from home blue to red throwback), but I also decided to wear a similar hat myself.

Why mess with success at this point, right?

damn straight...and the rest of you guys(and gals)...I KNOW you got a piece of old lucky clothing around somewhere...DIG IT OUT...we need massive Patriots ENTROPY....

In 2007 I hosted a Super Bowl party and everyone was rooting against the Pats. One of my friends was a Giants fan as well. After the game, while mourning, I was the subject of a group picture.

This year that Giants fan is hosting a Super Bowl party that I'll attend. Obviously I hope the result is different.

That has real potential to be payback right there dude.

Here's hoping he doesn't get you twice, that would suck big time

My wife is totally awesome at throwing parties and making sure everything is perfect whenever the Pats are in the Super Bowl, so I am almost always watching with a roomful of other people.

However this year I am watching the SuperBowl in Afghanistan and will be surrounded by nothing but Haters. The majority of people here hate the Patriots and are hoping for Pats players (Tom Brady in particular) to suffer a career threatening injury. They were actually excited when G-Force got hurt! They were even making fun of MHK! Yes, a lot of them are classless dirtbags. It makes it very difficult to actually enjoy the game, but winning solves all problems! GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rocker:

Fingers crossed I have the day off from work. Then I will be watching alone. I always watch alone. No Pats friends to watch with. :cry2:

I watch it alone, if we win - party all night and i have an exam next day.
if we lose - i cry all night.

Party at my house, in front of a brand new 60 inch SHARP, with 240HZ refresh rate. It is MINT! So pumped! Will have that on in upstairs living room, a flat screen by the dining room, and another TV on downstairs. What was the question again? :)

I'm terrible at watching the Patriots with other people around. Can't eat, won't talk, don't want them there. And really don't want them there if we lose. People are always welcome over for non-Patriots games.

You're partying with the Taliban?????

You're partying with the Taliban?????

Actually, I think the Taliban knows more than these guys about football! :singing:

My first time here I found a drum with a Patriots skin! Talk about crazy!

While I was here the first time I taught the Afghans how to toss around the pigskin and how awesome the Pats were!

Have had a party every Pats' SB year, but not this year. I find I get more nervous and unbearable with age during these games, so rather than subject good friends to that, my partner and I will watch it alone.

If "alone" means with my immediate family (wife and kids), then I will be alone.

I made the mistake of inviting two, now former, friends who were Giants fans, over for the last SB. At the Tyree catch, I simply said, "That was impossible. It means the Giants are going to win."

I watched the next few minutes in silence. Said, "Good night." Went into my bedroom. Lay down on the bed staring at the ceiling and didn't return to the living room to see them out the door.

All in all, since both of the guests left my apartment alive, I think I handled it very well.

Lots of times we have a few people over when the Pats are playing away, but then I regret it because I have to play host instead of fully watching the game. I also get annoyed when anyone calls during the game. If someone in my family or a close friend calls, they know to wait until half time or after the game.

The game is late in Spain so I'll watch it on monday with my girlfriend and friends in HD, enjoying my new Samsung
