Eli over Brady?

I wasn't trying to make an argument that the giants will beat you guys based on the record. I was just responding to whoever compared records earlier. You guys barely beat the skins and eagles so your fortunate to have a few of those wins, and would most likely split against eagles, cowboys, and lose both to giants if your track record continues... When you play dolphins, jets, bills, twice to go along with Denver, kc, Oakland, no wonder you won 13 games. What is the highest quality team you beat? Other then the 8 win mediocre broncs? Any make the playoffs? So stop...

To make a point as to why the Giants are going to win next Sunday. Eli will move the football almost at will against your pathetic defense in a dome.. Now your playing against an offense that can put up points do if Eli puts up 35, which he will, I don't see Brady leafing the offense to that many points against this Gianrs defense. IMHO Giants played a tougher team last Sunday. Pats just match up well and that's basing it off Eli will have a lot easier time scoring on your defense then Brady will against ours.

Sorry for the errors. Tiny little box I'm typing into from iPhone.

Listening to WEEI Mut and Merloni.

Apparently the conversation that Eli may be better than Brady has crept up and most people are now chosing Manning. I will agree that Eli is the hotter QB coming into the Superbowl and has gotten better but better than Brady? Really?

I think people are putting too much stock into one bad game Brady had last week with the Ravens. There is also a poll on the page asking, "Who's the Mann? Which quarterback would you want leading your team?" Eli is beating Brady 65% to 31%. I like Manning but are we ready to say we'd take him over Brady right now?

I love it.....I love it.....I love it....I love it....I love it.........
I want two solid weeks of Eli Manning talk, of Giants D talk.
I want all the money in Vegas going on the Gaints.
I want Tom Brady and his fellow Patriots just sitting there quietly taking it all in.
With each passing day my confdence grows about the Patriots winning this Super Bowl. :D
Keep it coming mediots!!!!!!!

You can't even get your facts straight. They beat the Redskins by 7 and the Eagles by 18. If you are going to another teams board to argue a point at least try to make some sense.

Of course the Giants have a very good chance to win the game. I don't think anyone is arguing that point.

I hope they keep em coming! We'll know some of the Giants players are going to talk some Cash Money/YMCB S*** leading up to game time.

My friend, as a Giants fan, you really don't want to be playing the "you barely beat teams X Y and Z" card. Look at your own close wins before doing that.

The only regular season victory the Giants have over a playoff team was the Patriots game itself. But they do have 2 losses against the Redskins, a team who won only 3 of their other 14 games. And they lost to the sad sack Seahawks and Eagles.

The Patriots are 2-0 in the playoffs, the Giants are 3-0 in the playoffs. Sorry we got the bye and can't have 3 wins.

You mean the defense that gave up 58 fewer points than the Giants?
IMHO Giants played a tougher team last Sunday.
That's the same team that the Ravens beat Thanksgiving night, 16-6.

Giants 2007 owned....lol...and it really wasn't that hard. Keep listening to the NY press, it will make you feel oh so confident. The stats are what they are..

If the Patriots defense is "pathetic", then what term do you use to describe the Giants defense? After all, the Giants ranked 25th in points allowed (400), ten spots behind the Patriots.

Back to the original point that you seem to be waving a white flag on, people that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Who exactly did the Giants beat in the regular season, other than the Pats? It's being hypocritical to point out alleged flaws on one team if you don't apply the same standards to your own.

There is no possible situation where i would rather have Eli than brady.

i dont think i've ever had a worse internet experience than the brain powers over at the packers board.

That's pretty funny meyerbugNYG, because Giants fans were treated pretty well there. Most of them said that as compared to the SF forum, the Packers forum was much better with so much less trash talking. Which is why even now, over a week later we still have Giants fans on our forum!

Guess it was just you huh?

Eli vs Tom debate

i couldn't find the thread where I was debating with u guys all last week about Eli and told you that if we win this week that hes going into the hall of fame:

Listened to Pat Kirwan on satellite radio and he's writing an article to be released tomorrow and he's talking about the Hall of Fame and what it takes to get in there. I think it's going to be on NFL.com. He said "looking at performance and numbers and who's in there, you cannot argue with this: win and they're in- Eli and Tom Coughlin, you cannot make a case against what they have pulled off". Also in his "crystal ball" looking at young talent, for where he is, JPP is beating Bruce Smith's numbers his first two seasons and said "it's a LONG way off, but given his start, he keeps it up, you're looking at a future HOF'er for sure."

Pat Kirwan is pretty neutral and respectable no?

People were saying the same thing about Shawne Merriman. How is that working out.........Let the guy play a few more years in the league before making those kind of comparisons.

Re: Eli vs Tom debate

Putting a second year player in the Hall of Fame. Sounds logical to me.

Re: Eli vs Tom debate

How those the premise of your post support the name of the thread? Eli vs Tom? No matter how you twist it, Tom Brady is light years better than Eli career wise and currently.

Re: Eli vs Tom debate

Always get a laugh at the internet "I'll argue/debate about anything and everything" crowd. You guys need to get out more.

Re: Eli vs Tom debate

I don't see how the title of the thread relates to the OP:confused:

Know where it would be a good place to debate the merits of prematurely putting Giant players in the HOF based on future accomplishments?

Not here!
