Re: Any season ticket holders have any luck

STH since 2002, opening of the new stadium. 0 for 4 in the Ticket Lottery. There are a lot of people in front of me that deserve tickets more. I feel bad for you guys, but I guess that's how the system is.

Official SB Ticket Lottery Policy
"SUPER BOWL
If the Patriots are participating in the game, each Season Ticket Holder is entered into a lottery which is conducted by Ernst & Young. The total number of entries an individual Season Ticket Holder receives is based on the number of years he has been a Season Ticket Holder TIMES the total number of tickets in his account. This policy will be at the Patriots' sole discretion."

Re: Any season ticket holders have any luck

ticketholder since 1971. No dice. Same as 03, 04, one other time. Since the NFL became big $, very few fans attend the SB. Lotsa "VIPs".

What is the going price for kids on the black market? Someone earlier said you could get $2.8k for a wife. Which one has better resale vale, wife or kids. Thinking it would be better to sell a kid and use the wife to make more kids to sell off.

Yes. that is the idea. Plus kids are more easily forced into slavery (seen that on an episode of Law and Order SVU). :D

ETA: My kids may actually be such a headache, that they might consider paying me to take them back.

Re: Any season ticket holders have any luck

STH since 1994 -- nada.

How do you know the face value? If $900 is the cheapest seat then there's no way I'm getting in for around $600, like I was hoping. The standing room seats must be cheaper.

I don't think they sell standing room tix at SB, as nosebleed seats are usually the lowest priced "get in the door" option.

Ticket cost for me would be the major problem. If I had the money to get tickets I would actually drive the 16 hour trip. Leave Friday night. Leave Monday morning. Since I work for a major hotel chain getting a room would not be a problem. I just can't afford the game tickets.

Gotta agree with the general thought here. Can't blame the hardcore fan for wanting to root their team on in Indy...But it's Indy. Part of what makes the superbowl such a great experience is the area it's in. I know it has no impact on the game, but having a **** load of fun in Miami for a week reallllllllly helps justify me spending the 5K+ the trip took. What will I do in Indy? sit in my hotel all day then go to a restraunt, and repeat until super bowl sunday? Yeah really sounds worth my 5k. I'm just saying...There's a lot more to it than the already stiff price of the game.

If the NFL doesn't want this to happen, keep it in the right areas. It doesn't always have to be in a warm climate, but give the people something to do.

Indy is not a city I would visit for fun or a SB..stupid place for SB

Sorry, but I'm not going to that city for that dough in February. Now New Orleans? Sign me up...

So, it will be a home game for the Giants?

How many Pats fans are buying tickets seems like a hard number to peg. While the majority of NE fans are concentrated in New England, the NFL is no longer the regional league it once was.

Just because you live in Chicago doesn't mean you are a Bears fan. You might be a Chargers fan. Someone in Miami might be a Bills fan. That's the modern NFL and one of the biggest reasons it has become what it is. Over the last 10 years I've met dozens of Pats fans that live in Central Oklahoma, for example. Some are Mass. natives who might have retired from the military and stayed here. Some, like me, just fell in love with guys like Leonard Russell and Jon Vaughn 20 years ago and adopted the team.

Anyway, not everyone who is a Pats fan at the SB will be coming from Mass.

Massachusetts - 6,587,536

New York - 19,465,197
New Jersey - 8,821,155

Total "NY Fans" - 28,286,352
Total "NE Fans" - 6,587,536

Gee, I wonder why "only" 7% of ticket holders are from Massachusetts. Sounds more like the author cherry-picked the numbers so they could write a low-brow hit piece on everyone's favorite team to hate.

Stay at home, get it on the tv with a cold beer in your hand on a sofa.
