So...What's your gut feeling on the Super Bowl?

I'm getting tired of the Brady won't have 2 stinkers in a row talk. When you play the elite defenses, you aren't going to light it up. I see a very similar game as the Ravens game for the SB.

Giants are not an elite defense.

A bit worried that the Pats can lose, but one fact that can't escape my mind is that there is no possible way the pats can lose to a team swept by the redskins?

the giants are hot right now, but come on 2x to the redskins???

We can win. We're in a dome and I think that will help us. It should be something in the order of 35 - 28. But then again, it's all up to Tommy boy to play sharp. He's on, we're fine. He plays like he did yesterday, we die.

We almost lost to the Bills twice! Not sure if losing to a crappy team in the reg season is a meaningfully indicator of how a team will perform in the SuperBowl.

You guys are panicking you're forgetting we have Brady/BB the best all time at what they do....each have been dreaming of this exact oppurtunity for what 4 years in a row now.

I think the Pats will win and like the previous SB wins, it will be a close game that will cause me to rock back and forth on my couch...:)

Sack up, y'all. Have some confidence. These Pats can't do anything well except win.

I am cautiously optimistic. I never enjoy a Superbowl the Pats play in. We always watch with friends and I sit on my hands.

Very nicely put and I agree 100%.
On one hand I understand why some fans feel shakey about this team. Brady has looked lousy in recent playoff games when facing quality defenses and our D has a habit of giving up plays all over the place.......and yet they fight and scrape and win.
I just don't believe Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are losing another Super Bowl to the NY Giants. Not with the ghost of '07 hanging over them, not with Tom Brady pissed off and embarrassed over his level of play against the Ravens and not with the presence of Myra Kraft wafting throughout this organization. I believe in destiny and always have. We were not destined to go 19 - 0 in 2007. That's why I've always been able to walk away from that SB with no lingering heartache as a fan. When I see plays like David Tyree in '07 it simply reaffirms my belief. When I see the Ravens and Joe Flacco outplay Tom Brady and the Patriots in Foxborough yet it's the Patriots marching on I see destiny at play once again.

I think it'll be a blow out with us winning of course.

I just don't understand Tom Brady's play against the Jets and Ravens in the playoffs. He owns them in the regular season then seem confused..Strange. I remember he killed Pittsburgh in 2004. I hope he is on this time...I think he will. I prefer a blowout for once in the Pats favor..Tired of these 3 point games.

yeah i think them playing well in the playoffs and everybodys memories of what they did to the high flying pats last time they were in the super bowl is causing some confusion. The Giants D was ranked in the last quarter of the league, they gave up 30+ a few times, once to Washington and another to Seattle I think. They're a little like the Pats, talented underachievers gelling and playing their best ball at the right time.

I see scoring in this game. Lots of scoring. The last two games have been defensive struggles but remember week 17 in 07. I think it's going to look more like that.

I understand some fans being a bit nervous but listening to the radio today blew my mind, diehard Pats fans calling in and not seeing any way we can win this game, not with that ferocious Giants rush, Eli's now a hall of famer and those guys he throws to catch anything within 10 yards of them, our D still sucks, Brady has a bad game (not awful, it was just bad) and he's never going to have a good game again. hey you fans get 2007 out of your mind, in the face of that ferocious rush and Eli having multiple horsesoes up his arse, they squeaked by in the last minute, like PJ says SACK THE EFF UP, WE'RE WINNING THIS GAME, yeah it'll be hard fought and probably close but WE CAN WIN

I have a feeling this is going to go alot like the Carolina Superbowl.

Feeling more confident today than I did when I was watching the NFCC, realizing what a possibility this rematch is.

BB will find a way to contain the WR vs our secondary mismatch. Our OL needs to have a great game though, games are always won in the trenches and this matchup highlights that theory even more. This is a better OL than in 2007 IMO, and hopefully we don't catch a major injury to someone who was as key as Neal was to our line. I think we'll be fine.

I still think the Pats are going to win this one in comparison to 2007 when I knew it would take a miracle..lol...ugh..Sadly, I had a bad feeling the entire week last SB. I am going to avoid all the talking heads this and next week and stay positive.

It is unreal how different all the opinions have been so far. I am still looking for that light at the end of the tunnel that will get me off this ledge, I hate being on it. The Giants played a very tough schedule this year which didn't help me feel better.
Some of the post did give me a glimmer of hope though, so I thank all of you for that. I just hope Brady and Belichick take to heart that they have an opportunity to right a monumental wrong from 2007 and I think that will drive those 2 to perfection, and that could be enough to get us a victory.

The first game was a lot like the Carolina Superbowl. There was absolutely no offense to speak of for most of the game, and then an explosion of offense happened where neither team could stop the other. This SB could very well come down to the last team with the ball wins, like the Carolina Superbowl and the first meeting between the two teams.

They played a tough schedule but were 9-7, why does that make you nervous, they lost to the skins twice, the Pats are more consistent, they could have won the games they lost except maybe the Pitt game. Its either a Pats blowout or a gut wrencher, no way the Gints blow us out.

Why is everyone nervous about playing a good team? Its the superbowl why wouldnt you want to play the best opponent?
