Brady is going for blood in the SB after this performance. A pissed off Tom Brady?

had to copy that pic to my comp.priceless.

Thanks man, I just had to make it, I spent the rest of the game waiting for that picture to appear on a news article on the net somewhere, haha.

I've only been following the NFL properly since September of last year, (I did watch the odd game on Sky Sports during my University days, but never followed a team) and that was the most epic touchdown I'd seen, especially considering it was by the quarterback.

The sheer detail of the landing and the ambition of it, he could have broken his back at the angle he dove in at. That's dedication for you.

Brady After the Win: "I Sucked Pretty Bad Today"

Regardless of the outcome of the NFC Championship game, the Patriots already have a leg up on the winner....

Well, you sorta kinda did, Tommy, but we still love ya!! Go out and beat the Giants, then you'll feel better!!!

This is in fact what I worry about most. I feel he has taken too much on and has become too intense and self-critical and not as resilient to mistakes as he was when he was younger. I hope the fact he played like crap and they still won will help him ease the pressure off himself and we don’t see any need to force it to a double covered Slater.

It feels very strange to say it, but I too worry about Brady's orientation to games as they become more important. I wonder if the intensity actually causes him to delay his decision making a fraction of a second longer than he would in games that matter less. The timing passes are off just a bit. The pass on third down on the last drive that was defended by Ed Reed seemed to fit this - he held the ball longer than he would normally, allowing Reed the time to knock it down.

I think the team can beat the Giants but not if Brady is off as frequently as he was yesterday.

Sometimes I wonder if pissed off, crazy intense Brady doesn't need to chill a bit. He forces things. It's like he wants it too badly. Kind of wish he was still napping in locker rooms and marveling at how the Superbowl is just a normal game. It's like now that he knows it's not, he doesn't play as loose.

I think there were a few factors at play here.

BALs defense was outstanding. They didn't get the kind of pass rush the wanted but their coverage was outstanding.

In addition there might be some element of Brady trying to do too much- which is typical of a franchise QB who is EXPECTED to carry his team. We've seen it multiple times with PM, Elway, etc. These guys tend to force things a little.

In addition I think part of that thinking Brady has programmed in his head is from the coaching staff. I thought they should have run the ball more and take a little pressure off Tom. But they didn't.

So I don't buy into the line of thinking that Brady is, 'too pumped and jacked' rather he tried to do a bit too much vs a very good defense that played very well.

Completely agree. It's as though Tom has gotten more hyper and more emotional the older he's gotten. Strange!!
Missing a wide open Gronk for a TD, forcing a throw to a double covered Matt Slater .....Matt Slater??????? downfield (TB was having a Moss flashback because that's where these really bad habits stem from) when Welker was wide open underneath, throwing to the inside shoulder of Hernandez thus allowing Ed Reed to undercut and bat away a critical 3rd down play etc etc etc.
Bill Belichick needs to get this offense and this QB back under control.
Ball control, clock control.
Going for kill shots from the 50 yd line in a 3 pt game with 7 minutes left on the clock in the 4th qtr after you just got an INT was NOT what the 3-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots were all about. Plays like this ARE what the New England Colts have been all about and it needs to stop if this team is winning ring #4.
Intelligent, patient, ball control football is winning the SB.
Peyton Brady is not......as we've seen for the past few years.

Tom definately needs to chill- and maybe less play calls to Slater and Edelman -

TMFB stated before the game that Ed Reed had no flaws...

Yesterday, Brady seemed a bit nervous and unsure... he tried to force a few balls (although that deep pass following flaccos INT was a fun way to give it back to them, I really wish he didn't do that!) He had a couple of open guys that he missed, but from playing the Broncos to the Ravens I think he did okay. Overall, I would give him a C.

He certainly should be able to play a little better against the Giants. Although their front four are good, I am very trusting in our OL this year... and our skill players? if they don't get separation (vertically or horizontally) against this Giants team, it will be a big surprise.

Brady didn't play bad....he played the ravens.

He played awful and deserved to have O'Brien yelling at him on the sidelines again. I don't know if he shoulder was bothering him or if was just having a bad game, but something was not right.

No problem that a long soaking hot soapy shower with BOB whispering soothing comments as he rubs Tom's abraded skin softly with the luffa and reaches...but I digress.

What I want to see in the Super Bowl is Brady trusting the defense. He should relax, not forced things even if we are three touch downs. I am not saying he should not be in a hurry, but he should relax and take what the defense gives him. I love the man but without the hand of God from Moore, we would be licking our chops today. Look at me, I am supposed to be rejoicing with Gronk going to the 'ship' and here I am talking bad about Brady.

It wasn't his best game.

But I will take Brady sucking over most quarterback's on their good days.

knowing Tom.... he'll be focused for the SB.
A game that ****ty wont happen twice. period.
He knows the Giants

Don't know about happening twice thing. Did he not stink it up against the Chargers in 2007 AFC 'ship' game?

Granted the super Bowl was on the OL, but he did not shine either.

He didn't play well at all, but in fairness to him, Baltimore played a hell of a game in coverage. Our receivers were challenged at the line (a good recipe that many teams have used) and they were blanketed in coverage. With all that said, Brady absolutely missed some wide open throws that we've seen him make one million times in his career. There's just always something that is slightly off about him when he plays the Ravens. That's what makes the Ravens games so hard to predict and be confident about.

I guess you missed the last two games against the Giants. Anything is possible in this matchup, including another choke job by Brady.

Brady always struggles against the Ravens D. Nothing new here. In fact, I can't think of one other defense he consistently plays "unBrady-like" against.
