Respect

I still feel that TB just does not get it from other teams' fans. I just don't get it. Are the jealous or just dumb? He is a winner plain and simple. Hating him because he is better looking than you, wealthier than you and has a better looking wife is just plain idiotic.

He is far and away the best in the world and best ever.

Here are some quotes from the Ravens site after Brady stated they would be the best team the Pats would play this season. The lack of respect is ridiculous. I am close to registering and just going nuts on them!

I never wish injury on any NFL player, but, if injured, I would like to see it happen to Brady's mouth.

Now that you put it *that* way, I've decided to hate him too, even though I am a diehard patriots fan !

I would be scared too. They know this year is their last chance and they finally have a true shot at winning it all- yet they don't think their team will beat us.

A lot of Patriot fans (and a few of them, believe it or not, who don't like how the Patriots operate) don't appreciate how easy it is to root for the Patriots. One can give the Ravens a lot of credit for being a tough defense....but in terms of some of the individuals on the Ravens (imho, including the coach), they are not an admirable bunch. They would not be an easy group to root for...

Dude, as is the mentality of an internet message board. A few things about message boards:

Every team thinks the refs are f@#ing their team if they lose.

Everyone thinks other teams don't respect them.

It's an us against the world meathead mentality and not worth fussing over.

That being said, it is d@mn entertaining seeing a meltdown, in particular a Jets message board meltdown.

you can never use the word "all" to describe anything....but...

the ravens are jets 2.0....they are hated b/c they are unsportsmanlike, sore losers, loudmouths, and dont know how to handle a win when regarding the press....

and many of their fans follow their teams MO.....

No dis---Respect, but I believe you are making a mass generalization of all teams fans. If you polled New Orleans fans tomorrow , Brady would be picked as a better QB than Brees. We wouldn't pick him to be our QB, because we are happy with what we have. Im sure its the same with Texan, Cardinals , etc.. fans.

Ive been on their boards and they show Brady his due. Your example is baltimore. They were not to nice to us either. Teams like Philly, Balt, Dallas, Wash, SF, ATL, Jets, etc.. have major fan issues because they have lots of bandwagon, part time, or glory hound fans that jump to the team when they start winning and jump off next season. Its a mass market problem. I can't even imagine how many Jets fans are now Giants fans today. I wouldn't listen to them to much. Ive heard R.Rice and Lewis talk about Brady a number of times. You can bet they are taking him VERY seriously.

.. and again no disrespect but TB is not the best ever ...yet. So, saying that , might mean you have a problem with ego as well. Just a thought. Not trying to put you down, its not my place.
I think most of us who love the game understand how great TB is, and how much he has accomplished, but he needs some more accolades to reach that mark. He's the best in the game though. Stuggs probably doesn't know that, but he's not to sharp to begin with ( and yes thats a pun ).

If you were playing N.O. , lions, or Texans etc.. I know you would see more respectful post, or at least a chance to refute. But You have to consider the source. Balt is over run with guys that don't even follow the team regularly. I mean hell if you can't take this kind of forum bashing just wait till you face the Giants again,lol.

I would just ignore those boards for now. There is really nothing good that can come of it. Ignore them and wait for them to come here, on your turf, because they will.

I'm also a regular poster on the Red Cedar Message Board, a Michigan State fansite. All fans are like this. We insult the Jets. The Jets insult us. On tRCMB we insult other BIG teams (some being more so than others, see scUM and the Wisconsin Vadgers). Those teams hate MSU. This stuff tends to happen between rivalries or teams with bad blood. There really isn't much difference between fan bases. You have homers, depressed fans, rational people, irrational people, smart people, dumb people, etc.. although, some boards by nature just have different personalities. PatsFans is much more tame compared to other boards I've been too. On tRCMB there's a lot more off topic stuff, hot girl pics, and controversial talk.

It's jealousy pure and simple. With Tom Brady people get super butthurt for some reason though....it might be that every team that we play on any given week has gotten their ass kicked by him for the last decade.
