Casserly broke the Camera issue in 2006 after the GB game that year. Just because Belichick made a snide remark about him doesn't mean he's not clued in around the league. If Bill had listened to Casserly back then, Spygate would never have happened.

I don't get all the folks who dislike BOB. The Patriots are 2nd in total offense and 2nd in passing yards with a healthy dose of 110 ypg on the ground. The OC has to get a lot of credit when the offense is that good.

Casserly didn't break that story.. He parrotted it..

When it comes to the Patriots, Casserly doesn't know jack. And definitely not about personnel moves.. Especially since it's come out that BO'B has an interview with Jacksonville and is still a candidate for the job at Penn St.

I don't care if he "broke" it first, he was ON AIR telling the world that GB complained about our filming. He may not have been first but he broke it to anyone to didn't know. He was right and that's why Bill is unhappy. I love Bill but he screwed up and if he had listened to Casserly, and perhaps others, it would never have happened. I'm tired of people ripping Casserly just because Bill has an ax to grind with him.

I am honestly not crazy about BOB but I am not a hater.. I feel like they dont use enough RB screen plays.. they had a great 1 last game against Buffalo but I didnt see that many this year.. I think the saints make a killing off RB screens like the Patriots use to.

Is Casserly your uncle or something? Hate to break this to you, but there have been several incidents between Bill and Casserly both before and since that had Bill not liking Casserly.

As for Casserly talking about GB and the filming, there were others who had talked about it and no one cared. People complained about the Jets doing it and no one cared. It wasn't until the Jets complained about the Pats doing it that Goodell did anything.

OH. and btw, nice of you to ignore how Casserly was wrong in his reporting. The fact that BO'B is still in contention for the HC job at Penn St. and also considered a candidate for the job in Jax. Yet, Casserly can say, definitively that BO'B is not going anywhere.. When BO'B doesn't even know..

As for not liking Casserly, I don't care for him because he's a friggin football snob. Pretends like his crap don't stink when it does. It's why he's no longer a front office person and he's stuck being a mediot.

So if Obrien does leave anyone up to hire Norv Turner if he is fired as an OC??? Anyone anyone?? yeaaah nvm

if the Pats score 100 pts over the next 3 games, I'm sure BOB stock will sky rocket which will help him get a better job and get paid more. Penn State job is the worst opening in all of football for obvious reasons. He will get something better if the Pats offense performs.

do you think that if you are an offensive coordinator calling plays into Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, a few high school kids might take note? The performance of the team in the post season is his #1 best recruiting tool if he decides to go to college.

I'm not sure "no one cared." I think it would be more accurate to say "no one in the media cared and so fans didn't really know/care either." I believe the league did care since they issued a memo to all 32 teams outlining taping rules. I think the reason the penalty was so harsh was because the NFL felt like BB just ignored the memo.
