With our D, are we one and done?

Ints and PDs don't tell the whole story. Gotta look at what kind of success QBs are having throwing at them. The Packers' top 3 CBs have all regressed in that regard. Somebody on that defense has to be giving up all those passing yards, and the CBs are definitely a part of it.

I agree with you that Brady could still put up points on the GB secondary, but I also think that Rodgers would absolutely torch this defense.

It's a difference of opinions, nothing more. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to see. There's a strong chance that a team like NO could knock off the Pack in the NFCCG too.

I also think a ton of those secondary yds from GB were allowed with their continued success of going up right off the bat. They have consistantly been ahead all year from the 1st quarter on.

Maybe I'm off base, but Baltimore is not as good as people make them out to be. Even the game vs Pitts in which they won the steelers were moving the ball consistently against them. Phillip Rivers lit their secondary up. The Bengals nearly came back vs. them IN BALTIMORE. I think we shouldn't overrate them as much as the media does.I think the Steelers would beat Baltimore in a rematch regardless where the game is played.

As for the Pats being one and done, like I said, they can beat any team and lose to any team. What they have been is consistent. Therefore, BB knows what he is dealing with and thats not fools gold. The offense after a tough spell in the middle of the season has gotten better. Has the competition been great? Prob not, but its not their fault teams didn't turn out to be who we thought they would. The game is going to be won and lost on TB shoulder and whether or not Welker and Co can get open vs. Man coverage.

Do you honestly think that the Ravens are going to have an issue with playing in Gillette after 2009?

Come on

That was 2 years ago. I rather play the Ravens over the Steelers.

Yes, it was 2 years ago. How does that enter the equation when the Jets took out the Patriots in the playoffs last year? The Patriots home field advantage isn't showing itself in the playoffs lately, and the Ravens will come in ready to be extremely physical against a Patriots team that has evolved into a much less physical team than it used to be.

I'd rather see the Patriots face the Ravens than the Steelers, too, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to be tossing it into the "W" column because the Ravens are on the road.

You would be foolish not to worried about this defense.Gotta get some type of pass rush and cover wrs come the playoffs.McCourty has been awful. The offense has to be clicking come the playoffs.Right now i don feel confident on this team beating Pittsburg and the ravens. You can say they arent great but they play defense!!

Id any team has alot to prove then its this team. They havent won a damn playoff game since 2007.Last year they got beat and outcoached.I am not feeling confident since this team has let average qbs look like pro bowlers!!

One and Done or not will be decided in the trenches....Our OL against the opponents defensive front.

You can talk about the defense all you want and how bad they are,but the real reason we are about to make it to the #1 seed is because of the OL and the time it has given Brady for most of the season.

We need a healthy and productive OL and if they can even come within distance of being rock solid, then that will be all the team will need to move onto the AFCCG because without pressure to Brady the Pats WILL put 30 points minimum on the board everytime.

Give Brady more than 3 seconds to find a receiver and he will bury the opponent...and quite frankly,I don't think there is an AFC team that can outscore the Patriots if Brady has time to throw most of the game.

The defense is important of course, but NOT the main concern...time for Brady to complete passes IS.

I never said it was an automatic win. The weapons of the Steelers offense is far dangerous than what the Ravens offer.

This is literally the five billionth thread about how we are one and done because of our defense.

If we keep posting threads about it maybe we'll hit some sort of critical mass, tear open the space-time continuum and be able to peer into the future and determine if we will win a playoff game with Obama as president or not.

So keep posting threads about being one and done because of our defense dudes. Let's do it for science. :itsok:

Patriots will win a playoff game 9-3. :D

Lost to the Titans, the Chargers, Seattle and wait for it...Jaguars on national TV. They are a horrible road team.

Nothing about the Steelers offense being more dangerous than what the Ravens offer. Much about the Ravens being a horrible road team. That's in line with my response about the Ravens not worrying about playing at Gillette post-2009.

3-4 vs road teams. They will be either 3-5 by the end of sunday or at best .500.

That's pretty much a definition of a horrible road team. I didn't say that the Ravens were a horrible team. I said they were a horrible road team.

The ravens love playing the patriots it seems.I cant stand Suggs.I think this team will see the steelers in the second round if they get the top seed.I just cant see the broncos beating the steelers.Something tells me the texans will win a playoff game.

.500 is obviously not "pretty much the definition of a horrible road team. You're just flailing away now.

There are 2 serious threats to the Patriots in the AFC playoffs. The Ravens are one of them, and they don't give a rat's ass about the Patriots "home field advantage", because they beat the hell out of the Patriots at Gillette in the playoffs just 2 years ago.

One and DONE...bank it...Sure if they play the Jets or Cinci they might pull off a victory but when a playoff team with a strong defense shows up and knocks Tom off his mark then this team will fold like a lawn chair. Why?

1) no run game
2) no true #1 receiver
3) damaged offensive line
4) no defensive line
5) no secondary

Tom Brady = Dan Fouts
Bill Belichick = Tom Landry

The Ravens and the Steelers are the scariest teams in the AFC, but if you want to be the best you got to beat the best.

Patriots never found an answer for Suggs.

Gee you learn something new every day. I never realized that the homefield advantage is some sort of psychic phenomenon where a team convinces itself it cant win at a venue, then once they do once, it becomes a road team advantage because they ain't ascared of that place.

I have a feeling we're considered kind of scary team elsewhere.

Yes, the people who believe in them are "pink hats," and those of you who don't are the "real fans." What a shame the Patriots "real fans" are so MISERABLE. However, since you don't believe they can win anyways you won't be complaining if they don't, as who could rightfully b.tch and moan about a team they don't believe in not winning?

BTW-The real "pink hats" are the fairweather fans like you who are only "satisfied" when they win it all, and even then it's only a temporary stay before you start whining and *****ing all over again.

So you are satisfied with losing back to back home playoff games? Go be a Jest fan with those expectations. With Brady and BB, every fan better be disappointed with anything short of a SB.

Get lost pink hat.

Douche

The Ravens don't give the same going into San Diego

LOL....the Ravens

You have a perfect record on continually pounding on completely stupid and irrelavent points.

Thank god you are oblivious to making a complete fool of yourself.

Let me say this about our D in the playoffs. They need to come up with a couple of stops and a big play here and there like they have been all season. 30 take-aways this year. Now some of those were gifts but even if 10 were, that is 20, 1.3 per game going into this weeks game.

There is no doubt that the Offense needs to be sharp and not turn the ball over. If they can do that, then the D is good enough to not lose the games.
