anybody else happy the jets are not going to the playoffs

The Jets are the kings of the back-in. No doubt in my mind that Miami missed 3 FG's drops several touchdown passes and muffs a punt with nobody near them leading to a Jets win.

Then all of the teams they need to lose will. I hope this happens. I want revenge for last season for giving them a win they had no business getting. Hey we made the AFC Championship twice in a row! We're going to the SB! F-You maggots.

Personally, I am torn. I am enjoying the Jets going down in flames, but part of me wanted them to be the Pats' division round opponent. I don't know what would be sweeter - watching the Jets go 8-8 and miss the playoffs or the Pats beating them three times in one season.

Unlike many on this board, I have known the Jets are a below average team for a while now. They are now 1-6 against teams with winning records and the one win was against a team that had victory in hand and gave it away. There really isn't an aspect of their team that is as good or better than last year. They are a team on decline.

I think if they back into the playoffs and they somehow beat the Texans, I think they will be an easy win for the Pats. They are the team I want to see most of all the potential 6th seeders or anyone in the playoffs for that matter.

That said, it will be great drama net week and watch the Jets melt down vs. the Dolphins. Personally, I don't see the Jets being able to beat the Dolphins in Miami.

On top of that, the seahawks proved their worth when they beat the saints...

tests, we are not miami or anyone you have faced. I wouldn't understate us in a SB, you won't get those points back. Most don't understand what kind of offense is in NO this year. WE are pretty good.

Is anyone saying that the Saints aren't a great team? No, they said that even though Seattle was 7-9 last year they still knocked your far superior team out.

Nobody is saying the Saints are Miami, but spare me the under-dog nobody respects us crap because it ain't flying here. I would put the Saints at even money with the Pack to be representing the NFC in the SB. Winning at Lambeau in January will be tough.

huh? What are you talking about dood?

I was trying to make a point because some poster was pissed so many low record teams are making it the Playoffs and i used the saints/seahawks example of record means nothing.

And yes, your saints offense is insanely ******* dynamic. I saw the saints in 2009, and i would wager your offense is BETTER now than it was in 2009.

BTW, you are acting like we are guaranteed to make the SB... for all we know we might go ******* one and done again.

And i wouldn't underestimate the niners just yet (if your saints remain number 3 seed). Your saints are not that great of a road team..... and than if the packers make it to the NFCG with your Saints, lambaeu will be tough.

Nonetheless, i think the saints/packers are the top teams in the NFL (either 1a/1b, or 1/2, with packers being number 1)... and the patriots are 3rd or 4th.

well we are pretty tired of the seahawks reference Scrizz, much like if we talked about the ravens or jets beat down, constantly of your team. Pretty silly.

we are not under dogs in this forum, we sure are in the media. We are not even talked about much and about to beat all of the 2000 Rams records as an offense , so don't give me that. Just because people are smarter here than the NFL channel, doesnt mean much.

Lambeau is Lambeau, our boys will do just fine. We completely understand why no one thinks we can do it.

Jets beat Miami and they're pretty much in. Cinci won't beat Baltimore.

It's not the simple.

There's two ways the Jets make the playoffs and both ways require 4 separate things to happen.

A
1. Jets Win (@ Dolphins)
2. Bengals lose (vs Ravens)
3. Titans lose (@ Texans)
4. Raiders lose (vs Chargers)

B
1. Jets Win (@ Dolphins)
2. Bengals lose (vs Ravens)
3. Titans lose (@ Texans)
4. Broncos lose (vs Chiefs)

Jets have to win and then root for 3 other teams.

well test , I think I took that the wrong way, so sorry about that. Its clearly my fault. I thought you were bashing our boys for losing the seattle game, sorry.

all is forgiven.

I want to see your team in the NFCG vs the packers.

Sanchez is so ******* bad. It's really amazing a QB could suck that much.

I think the first scenario is more probable.

thanks, me to, not sure we can beat them in their freezing home turf. We know SF can't though.

Nobody was knocking your team. It was an example of teams with bad records getting in the playoffs and doing damage. if Baltimore was 7-9 that year it would be a valid comparison.

I just said that I put the Saints odds at going to the SB at 50/50 and that's with having to go to Lambeau to beat the Pack. I would say that's very high praise.

And the media sucked plenty of Saint **** after Katrina and they were the big 'story'. This year the Pack trying to go undefeated was the big 'story'. (Of course the year the Pats were trying to do the same thing the big 'story' was a manufactured one about supposed cheating, so whatever, we know nothing about how stupid and unfair the media is).

I think I possibly heard one time that the Pats were playing today with just one Starter on the O-Line and yet I heard it no less than 1,236,794 times about the poor Jets and how terrible it was that they lost Nick Mangold for 3 games.

I got nothing against you, I think you're a good poster, and I think the Saints are a good team and that should matter more than what some media ******** says anyway. Good luck and I'll be rooting against the Saints in Lambeau! Because I would honestly rather the Pats play the Pack.

No, not the case.

Tennessee gets in over the Jets with a win against Houston, which is also likely since Houston is locked into the 3rd seed and has little to play for.

Maybe they can start their backup QB...

Happy?

No, no, I'm "happy" if I win at a Casino. I'm "happy" when I think I'm sneaking a look at a hot waitress walking away and she's already looking over her shoulder at me. I'm "happy" if it looks like I'll get that big promotion at work.

Jets not making the playoffs is more like a feeling of rightness and justice, the universe achieving its proper alignment. You know how people talk about "kids these days" having a sense of "entitlement," like the universe owes them something? To me, there's a sense of whatever the opposite of entitlement is for the Jets, like notitlement, where the last title they won was against the Colts and that should be the last title they ever win.

There's a natural order to the world, a great chain of being. The Jets belong in the middle of that chain when they're hot. That is just how the universe is and should always be, and the last two years have been a particular affront to that natural law.

Also, Rex sucks toes.

saints have a great offense but it gets shutdown more than gbs does, that is statistically factual but those are the clear top two teams , i'd not be surprised to see nyg make it back again as well, they can play with anyone when they're on their game as they've shown before.

Good has once again prevailed over evil..

The NYC newspapers are going to have a field day with Rex until next September.

Happy isn't he right word

More like satisfied/justified that the end result matches the real ability of that team
