Brady yelling at OFF. coordinator

Tom Brady to Bill O'Brien:

"Everybody sucks but me!"

Did you see Bill O'Brien go off? Bad throw or not the receiver needs to make sure he isn't undercut and he attempts to go after the ball if not to make the catch at least to knock away an int.

Put the blame on Brady but for Bill O'Brien to go off on TFB like he did, yelling, tearing off his head set is not how you talk to your MVP, HOF'er, legend QB. If BB see's fit to do it fine but not Bill [expletive] head, piece of [expletive] O'Brien.

So you feel that an OC should be subservient to his players? That he should be afraid to exercise his duties as Brady's boss?

Thats the thing about this team and coaching staff. brady repeatedly has told him in interviews that BB points out all brady's mistakes publicly in film study and it starts with him and he is no different than others. HOFer or whatever , nothing wrong in getting called out on a mistake and BOB is the O coordinator and he has every right to not bend down to brady and serve his needs. BOB is just doing his job. Telling the QB who happens to be brady that he made a mistake and he better own it up.

Um, did you see how O'Brien acted? He acted like a little bit*h! Ripping his headset off, yelling.... I mean screaming, he handled it wrong. Be a pro and calmly handle the situation. He acted like he lost control. Believe me, if the OC can not control his emotions then how the hell do you expect him to handle stress under pressure? Very unprofessional of a "boss" as you say to handle the situation. Lucky for O'Brian that nobody punched him in the face for acting like that.

There is a right way and a wrong way to handle it, O'Brien chose the wrong way. He should be pretty embarrassed for the way he handled it by screaming. Seriously, he looked like a little kid throwing a tantrum.... at another grown man, a legend, HOF'er, the team MVP, a person who has accomplished more then O'Brien himself. TFB deserves more respect then that!

Ya know, Peyton Manning has made many mistakes, corrected may of receivers and no matter right or wrong I have never, ever seen the Colts OC or any coach yell at Manning like that. Can not recall any OC yelling at a top QB in all my years of watching football. Head coach yes, OC...Never! Classless of O'Brien.

He acted like an authority figure disciplining one player for yelling at another.

Be a pro and calmly handle the situation.
Really? Do you really think football coaches don't yell?

He acted like he lost control.

Plssed off and out of control are not close to the same thing.

A coach yelling at a player is not being out of control of his emotions.
Actually Brady was more unprofessional. Not that either were unprofessional in a profession where this happens all the time.
Punched in the face for doing his job? Sure,

There is a right way and a wrong way to handle it, O'Brien chose the wrong way.
You don't know the details.

If this opinion were correct 90% of the coaches in the NFL would be out of work.

If BOB coached this offense from the perspective you are suggesting, the offense would suck.
Do you want him to call him Mr Brady too?

This. Tom screwed up, but the coaching staff is supposed to be the "adult supervision". For BOB to act the way he did, to initiate that confrontation, to keep attacking Brady verbally in front of Brady's receives and the backup QB (after Brady disengaged) such that BB had to intervene - that's just unacceptable.

People will want to lay blame on Brady for talking back as a player and because it was his screwup that set BOB off, but you don't treat your QB like that, let alone your HOF, MVP, best regular season ever, 3 time SB winning QB.

If Brady was wrong Brady was wrong regardless of his resume.
You simply cannot have a player disrespecting a coach. Coaches 'disrespect' players all the time, its called evaluation. If a player wants to yell at his coach because he disagrees with the evaluation that is a player issue, not a coach issue. There is a hierarchy, and authority structure.
If Brady has no problem with it, why do you guys?

Because we're talking about the Patriots and Patriots coaches, not Kansas City and Todd Haley.

No, we are talking about the relationship between players and coaches.
The game announcers pointed out that this stuff happens all the time.
Brady has no problem with it, he said he deserved it.
He talks about getting yelled at by the coaches all the time.
If you to ignore that, go ahead, I guess.

Brady shouldn't have thrown the ball, and if he was taking issue with that assessment, then BOB was right to yell at him. That said, it's a nonissue. It was the end of a competitive game, some tempers flared, and then they were all fine shortly afterwards. The end.

Show me another OC who has thrown a tantrum at a elite level QB... Not head coaches but an OC. Ya know, as much as you want to say or pretend to think that Brady is like every other player on that team, he isn't! Everyone knows it. Just because O'Brien is Brady's boss (LOL) he deserves more respect from the OC then that.

TB isn't a rookie needing a tongue lashing from a OC to be corrected, he is a vet, a HOF'er! Look back and let me know if you ever seen Elway, Montana, Marino, Manning, Rogers, the list could go on and on of top talent QB's that was ever screamed at on the sideline like that by the OC. You wont find it because the OC of top QB's give them their due respect otherwise they are out the door.

Well, as an addendum, I can't recall BB ever screaming at Tom during a game the way BOB did today. So even BB hasn't pulled that sort of stunt and he has the most right to by far.

You've never heard of Charlie Weis?

he threw a dumb pic when we could've gotten 3 easy, then blaming underwood the newbie. This kids being developed at WR, smashing his confidence for a play that didn't need to be called warranted an ego check. BOB was livid, he did the right thing.

The whole situation is pretty funny looking back at it. I said to myself "there's no way TB throws a pic here" right before the snap, then he throws a pic, lmao. could've run it, taken a knee, threw the ball away, chucked it at the back of a DB's head for laughs you name it.

there's never a dull moment watching TB that's for dam sure.

I'm just going to drop out of the conversation here, because it will be pointless to continue. We have diametrically opposed understandings of the relationship between coaches and players and how authority is maintained on an NFL team. On top of that you are dismissing that Brady has no problem with it, that NFL people say that this happens all the time, and limiting your belief that such a thing ever happened to anyone else based upon whether it was filmed and I saw the film.

This. I thought BOB was right to do what he did. Brady was pissed off and took it out on a young WR. BOB intervened and told him to shut up. That's good coaching IMO.
