Stallworth and Gaffney

well Stallworth sure outproduced Ochocinco today.

If Johnson could face the Patriots DBs every week, he'd be going to the Pro Bowl.

Gaffney should never have been allowed to leave. It does make you wonder what cap management pressures the Patriots were under at the time.

It was another huge mistake by a big market team that wants to act like the JAX Jaguars. People on this site complained when this happened " the Gaffney signing", but at the time McDaniel new the Pats wouldn't pay for Gaffney just like Lonny Paxton. As I said in an earlier post BB and or the Krafts need to explain the cutting of Merriweather,Sanders,Butler etc... to have street free agents out there embarrassing the franchise. You can only come to one conclusion that money is the issue we already know not just the local but national media don't have the balls to question this franchise. I've come to grips with it is what it is but it's just frustrating year after year with wasted draft picks and know worth while FA signings.

It almost had that Christmas Feel.

Receivers of Patriots, Past, Present, and Future?

In hindsight it would be great to have kept Gaffney. Having said that how many people here on Patsfans lost their mind when the Pats didn't match the Bronco's offer- excluding the people who say the Pats are wrong with every move they make? Not too many if memory serves.

I know I wasn't happy to see him go, but I didn't seem to care too much about it either. As it turns out, they should have made an attempt to keep him. Live and learn.

10M over 4 years. We have thrown way more than that at all the sad replacements (Galloway to Ocho). Was a bad call.

Galloway and Ocho weren't replacements for Galloway - they were both meant to be deep threats.

Belichick must have felt that Galloway's role was well covered and generally speaking, it is - where we sorely need the upgrade is deep and Galloway generally doesn't do that much deep.

That being said, if your Ocho's and Galloways aren't going to produce, I'd happily take take Galloway in their place.
