How a professional celebrates a touchdown.

Hernandez is not 'making it rain' he's actually simulating throwing money into the crowd

he gets on 1 knee and dial the safe
pulls the safe door open
pulls out the cash while standing up
and then throws it into the crowd

on one TD he actually did the same thing but instead the $ was buried and he did the shovel motion to dig it up and then threw it into the crowd.

Its called making it rain its from a fat Joe song

I was always impressed last year that whenever any of the tight ends scored, Alge Crumpler and they would solemnly shake hands.

Always thought that was classy.

I think I miss Alge, even with that dropped touchdown pass and all...

Wait. Not the drop. :D

Pure conjecture. Four things happened which helped the Jest to score the late touchdown:

1. Penalty to start the kickoff at the 20
2. Flubbed kick - Had he kicked it properly, could the Jest have done it so easily?
3. Poor defense - Had the Bills put up some kind of resistance, could the Jest have done it?
4. Execution of the offense - If Sanchez Sanchezed a ball into the ground or into hands of a cornerback, could the Jest have done it?

Three pretty important football parts of the game had to occur between the celebration and the TD for it to happen. That's a pretty wide degree of separation. It seems of all of those things listed above, that the penalty had the least to do with what happened, but we've all found the scapegoat and fixed the blame.

Again, like I said, if you watch the highlights at NFL.com you'll see that when the flub occurs, the kicker is really putting everything he can into the kick- so much that he almost misses the ball. What other reasons could this have happened other than the fact the ball was spotted all the way back on the 20?

I thought they were attempting an on side kick, but i had the sound off so i wouldn't have to listen to Dierdorf. So until today i didn't know he screwed the kick up, Ive never seen a kick off botched as bad as that one.

My favorite Randy moment.

If it were an onside kick, he wouldn't have run at the ball. You'd see more of a jog and much more of an angle to make sure the ball doesn't travel too vertically.

I also liked Randy Moss's opening-the-shower-doors-and-stepping-out celebration - or whatever that was.

That's MY favorite, as well!! :rocker:

But...you ARE kidding about that "shower" bit...right?? ;)

I mean....you DO know what he's actually DOING...RIGHT???

Honestly, I've always been ASTONISHED that he kept getting away with that.

Classiest, 99% of the time, was Randy Moss. Dude never went crazy, usually just handed/tossed the ball to the ref and went back to the huddle/sideline.

For how big of a diva he could be, I always respected that. I don't mind celebrations, I actually like them, but some players get so ridiculous, like Stevie Johnson, Ocho could be funny, but sometimes he went overboard, TO was just full of himself 24/7, etc. So I always thought it was cool seeing Randy just give the ref the ball.

You must have missed the "Moon over Lambeau."

{Edit: I see that others have already pointed that out. Still, it was priceless.}

Just in case anyone's    but doesn't want to admit it...

How do I put this, without getting banned...

Randy is suggesting that he just "split the Defense" like a love-starved 600 pound GRIZZLY might "split" a 3 pound BUNNY.

There will be no roses.

I always find it amusing when all these fools do some silly dance thinking they are being "cool"...when the coolest thing a player can do is to hand the ball off to the ref and act like they have been there before...that is being "cool".

I always find it amusing when a bunch of people on an internet messageboard want to crucify young people for celebrating a score in front of 60,000 people live, and millions on TV.

The Gronk spike? Despicable.

He's 22 years old, the man acts like a child. I say if you do anything but hand the ball to the ref you should be banned from the league forever, and maybe even deported.

Maybe a halftime hanging at the next game? ;)

Either that or this.

Guys you are making me miss that Randy Moss.

Not the '10 one.

Randy Moss scored a lot of touchdowns. Lambeau is the 1%.

I actually thought that the Moon Over Lambeau was very funny...well before Randy was a Patriot. He probably shouldn't have done it, but it was funny as hell.

Count me out of those who think that young athletes have to react to success on the field without passion to be considered "professional."

I think that Law Firm is entitled to celebrate with his handshakes and I also have no problem with guys who get animated and turn the moments after a score into something fun, as long as it doesn't "rub it in" to the other side or delay the next play.

It's a game. A kids game played by young adults. I have no problem if they have some fun.

Yes, Brother OTG, I am kidding about the shower thing. Just trying to be funny.:D

What he actually got penalized for was not celebrating but initiating a gesture that imitated a gun, e.g., "pulling out an imaginary gun." The league has been adamant about such gestures and reminds everyone on a yearly basis.

I believe the penalty was for going to the ground during the celebration, not the gun part. I didn't see a penalty flag until he crashed the jet.

I like Ochos TD celebration.

Oh, nevermind.
