Tennis elbow is generally a repetitive motion injury resulting from the opposite motion of throwing a football (a backhand in tennis). So for anyone talking about a chronic tennis elbow situation with Brady, that doesn't seem likely.
The evidence points to a contact injury against Dallas (the bone bruise initially reported) that also resulted in some tendon discomfort. The tendon involved with tennis elbow connects to the outside of the elbow, which seems to be where Brady had his contact injury.
I believe the tennis elbow reporting is completely based on the wrap Brady is wearing on his forearm...which is the same one commonly used for tennis elbow. While contact at the point where that tendon connects to the bone can cause the same situation (microscopic tears), it isn't common. So transposing a typical tennis elbow situation (treatment, recovery, ongoing issues) seems to be a significant leap based on available information.
Brady hurt his elbow over a month ago, it resulted in some pain/discomfort when throwing the ball and the brace helps the situation. There really isn't any evidence (grip issues, inability to drive/spin the ball downfield) to suggest anything more than that.
