Agreed. I've disagreed with Gasper before, but he usually has some evidence to back up what he says.

I just wish that guys like Felger who consistently trash the team wouldn't be called "brave" for "taking on the team." Agree that Shaughnessy started that years ago. "Brave" would be admitting when you're wrong.

Sad. Boston used to be a bastion of sports journalism. Writers have realized that they can go on the radio or TV and insult local teams to get twice the attention with half the effort.
Shame on us for feeding into it.

He edited the post after the fact. The original post had some obnoxious crack....and my first amendment right says I can say I can be offended by the twerps on this site who have nothing better to do than insult other posters.

First off, FRED, he did not edit his post "after the fact". It would say if he did, just like mine does because I edited it almost immediately after I posted it. And, unfortunately for you, it's very clear that Icy did not edit his post.

Secondly, the 1st Amendment opens you up to any and all repercussions from you posting your dumbness. If you don't like the responses you get, don't post. Otherwise, deal with it.

Oh, and if you get "offended" by someone telling the truth (which is all that Icy did) then you are the one with the issue and seriously need to lighten up.

In the 1980s, the Globe was the best sports section in the country. Ray Fitzgerald, Gammons, Montville, McDonough, with Ryan and Shaughnessy back when they seemed to care. Just sayin'.

"posting your dumbness"? That's not an insult? What is this a football forum or a place to insult people? There is a way to have a civil discourse on football subjects but many seem to have forgotten common courtesy.
