Your points are valid. I'm not disputing.

It's simply not that big a deal to get worked up about. He's making a couple of catches. The offense is fine.

Pretty soon we will have guys all worked up about the 3rd string, shadow roster long snapper.

Why come to a site with about a 4-1 team to be miserable?

Also, why is it every loser of an arguement has to resort to "homer" and "koolaid"?

I hope I'm not miserable. I'd never accuse anyone of being a homer. We're all fans here, and we're cheering for the same team. While I didn't/don't like the trade, I do like Chad. I know he's trying and I hope he has greater success with us.

No it's the other dude.

People answered nicely and intelligently so the koolaid stick was broken out.

Aaron Curry is a Raider so that choice is out

Eventually I think the Pats are going to need a big play receiver who can get separation vs a great secondary in the playoffs.

I dont get calls to cut ochocinco and haynesworth...they are low risk signings and at least can only bring positives to the defense and offense if they work out.

Ochocinco plays 32snaps a game on a team that plays a 75% 2 TE set...and is the 5th receiver essentially, behind Welker, branch, Gronkowski, Hernandez.

are people expecting him to put up 50-100yards in the limited targets he gets? hes essentially taking over for Brandon Tate, not Randy moss

It's cause we're frustrated he's playing rather than Price.

We need pass rushing! Trade one of the 1st rd picks for Jared Allen! Really dont care how we get it done but something needs to happen.

Allen would certainly help with the pass rush. That said, I do believe that our pass rush is going to make improvements over the next few weeks. Even for a 1st rounder, I'm not sure why Frazier would make the trade as he needs to turn that ship around ASAP if wants to stay in MiN.

The Eagles trade scenario makes even less sense to me. I don't see Guyton helping them much. And with a secondary that's struggling to gel, why trade a player that you just traded for? In addition, everything I'm seeing is pointing to Reid being on the hot seat if he doesn't win now. I like Gill Brandt, but those two trades don't seem to make a lot of sense from my stand point.

To all the people sippin' the kool-aid that quoted me:

If you guys are right, why the hell would trade for an old reciever in an shortened off season if its going to take him atleast a year to learn the Playbook? Ocho is either a bad player or a bad trade.
Why? Why can't he just be a 3rd WR that is developing chemistry with Brady?
How is it a shame to not be on the field ahead of the 2 WRs and 2 TEs that have produced the 2nd best passing offense in NFL history in the first 5 games of a season?
Its not like there isn't a dominant offense out there when 85 is on the sidelines that he is trying to earn reps in.

Wow, that's terribad. Allen is a good player, but he's due $9M (2011), $11.6M (2012), and $14.3M (2013) over the next three seasons. Say what you want about whether it'd be a good move or not, but Belichick understands his resources. He's not going to give $30M over 2.6 seasons plus a first round pick for anybody. I believe the Pats are already in not great cap shape for next year, and adding $11.6M to that means that adding Allen would involve losing somebody like Mayo, Chung, Gronkowski, or Hernandez to make up the difference. If he wants to cut back to like $9M each of the next two seasons, then sure, I'd give a first for him.

DRC is a joke of a player. He's soft, and he can't play in zone. And even if we want him to be a starting CB in a man-heavy scheme, the guy he'd be replacing is McCourty, not Dowling. Trading for DRC would be nothing more than a kneejerk reaction to McCourty's struggles in man.

Cut Taylor Price. The guy can't beat out a crappy Ocho, inconsistent Branch, or injury prone Edelman. Waste of a roster spot.

Do you really think Branch is that incnsistant? I know he's a little injury prone, but I was always under the impression that he's been doing very well. I'm not calling you out, just curious. Also I think there will come a time this season when we will need Ocho. Somebody WILL get hurt. I have high hopes when that time comes, he will step up.

Best and most realistic option is to activate Brace and Deadrick off the PUP list. Brace has shown some flashes, and he's another 300+ DT/DE to add to the rotation, which can only help keep guys fresh. This is probably his last chance to show something so maybe he's hungry.

I have a feeling that Brace is indeed hungry, quite often.

Pats need a safety and a passrusher. They seem to be pretty strong everywhere else.

Im hoping that Cannon will be healthy enough to be activated. He'll add to the depth. And we're already gonna get Vollmer back. The Pats OL is looking simply stellar this season. The offense's ability to both run and pass so well is dependent on this OL unit. Skills players are all above average, and our TEs and QB are simply awesome.
