You're the one embarrassing yourself. Rivers was 1-2 in that stretch. Get your facts straight.

1-2.

Oh Lord, You're killing me!!!!!!!

My bad. It really IS a significant achievement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Is this what occurs when a city doesn't win a major league championship in .........forever? (Wait a second, you beat us in the AFL Championship game somewhere in the 1960's).

In the Land of 7 Championships in a Decade, your point is not just "lame"......it is "Freddy Mitchell lame".

Why is everyone trolling this Charger fan?

Rivers is a top 5 QB in this league but you're fighting a bad fight on this one. The first game of the three he beat Matt Cassel who was putrid that game in SD and Rivers had zero pressure on him throwing for 3TDs and not turning the ball over. However the next two sure he put up big numbers but he had a pick and a lost fumble (fumble another they recovered) last year and two picks and a lost fumble this year. To make it worse all three picks were inside the red zone making them worse.

Volume stats are highly overrated. What wins games is efficiency and not turning the ball over. My main complaint about quarterback rating is it doesn't punish turnover harshly enough.

Lightningbolt is a good Charger poster (and believe me, we appreciate that - - every Charger game week, we have several idiots coming here that we have to ban).

But, in this thread, he is continually making a point that is so ridiculous in it's statistical meaninglessness that .........Dan Fouts would be the only person on earth to think it relevant.

BTW your definition of "trolling' is a mile wide. A "troll" enters univited. Lightningbolt originated this thread INVITING reactions and opinions.

If he expected no reactions to what he wrote, originating this thread on Patsfans.com would be like jumping into the lion's cage wearing filet mignon underwear.

A troll can be invited and not troll.

YOU are the one who introduced the word "trolling".

There is a difference between a "troll" and a good poster from another team's fanbase.

Lightningbolt is a good poster from another team's fanbase.

In the meantime, we are discussing this issue of Rivers. Would you like to join THIS discussion?

My point in starting this thread wasn't to brag about Rivers getting 300+ passing yards in 3 straight games against the pats. But rather my surprise that another QB hadn't done it already. I expected Peyton Manning to have done it considering how many times he's played you guys in shootouts.

Honestly, Lightning, it seems to be a very insignificant statistic.

What would be the feeling if Manning had three consecutive games against the Pats of 479, 297 and 415 yards? Obviously he would not have the disinction of 3 straight 300+ yard games.

This "statistic" simply doesn't mean anything.

I thought we were playing the Bills this week? Why are we still droning on about last week's opponent. I mean, I'm sure that we're all happy for River on this "important" stat and all (perhaps they can take it into account for his HOF voting  ). But it's pretty meaningless at this point. 1-2 in the last three is all that really counts.

Let's take a cue from the team on this one and start preparing for Buffalo. ;)

Lightning Bolt..... Perhaps you should start preparing for KC....... ummm, well not much to prepare for there I suppose.

What exactly do we as fans have to prepare?

Nothing other than this:

Because it is the morning after the game.

Are you on the team? How's Belichick this morning?

That made me hungry. Time for lunch!

Yea, I'm hungry too. But, it would be time for breakfast for me here in San Diego. Interestingly enough, since San Diego is such a large transplant city due to the weather and beaches, there's a lot of Patriots fans living here as well as fans of other teams. So there might be some other Patriots fans on this forum who are also getting ready to eat breakfast.

Yes. Discussion of the next opponent should really start around Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday are for dissecting the most recent victory or loss. That's how it is on most football forums.

Good friend of mine here in the office is a big Chargers fan. One thing she and I will agree on, is that for Rivers to reach the elite level, he has to stop with the mouthing off and trash talking. You would have thought he'd have stopped that a long time ago, but the guy doesn't seem to mature with age, like most of us.

He was flapping his gums yesterday again, and backed it up with repeated turnovers. He's annoying, and immature. Is he ever going to stop acting like a 15 year old out there?

What are you talking about? When did Rivers trash talk yesterday? You must have been watching another game because I saw the whole thing and I didn't see him do that once.

Awwww, come on Haley.... Don't be such a new guy...... We have to spend the week starting endless threads about how our defense sucks and that McCourty has regressed. Plus, we have really get down into Ocho's daily tweets and analyze them....... There is a ton of **** for us to do. We don't have time to dwell on yesterdays game.

You're not that new here.... you should know all this by now. Are you having trouble learning the Patsfans Playbook? Uh Oh, I smell another new thread coming. Perhaps even a poll.

:D;):D

Hell, we can discuss the 1969 Pats - Raiders game (in an appropriate forum).

When you're only a fan, there's no statute of limitations! :D

He's done that in the past, but I didn't see any of that yesterday. Perhaps I missed it.
