I drafted and started the pats D in both my fantasy leagues :singing:

Your fantasy team is like your dreams and your cat - important to you, but no one else cares. We're celebrating a Pats win in here.

Well that was 'pretty' but it was a win!

Lovely strip sack from Anderson!

And Brady looks fantastic again!

Hard fought good game by the team ...

Good win against a team who looked to be intent on causing serious knee injuries to as many players as they could.

Nice win. Gave up too many big plays and 3rd downs. Were able to get 4 TOs though. Glad to win this one. Next week @ the 2-0 Bills.

Glad we put the Chargers and their fans in their place. They're a good team but from what I read from them all week they are way too cocky. Nice Pats win, a lot of good and some bad. Pass rush was nonexistent for most of the 2nd half. Coverage was shaky at best. Offense was just exceptional though - no complaints there. Hope Hernandez is okay, he hurt his knee at the end apparently.

Second-half offensive sputters

The Patriots have had some memorable second-half collapses, especially in the post-season.

Today it wasn't that bad, as the offense picked up steam again -- but there sure was some sputtering in the third quarter.

What was that all about?

I can't believe the number of fair weather fans we have here its embarassing.
Have some faith in BB who is not an idiot like Turner and give some credit to the Chargers who are a top notch team.
By the way I expect all the San Diego trolls will be skulking back into their holes for another year.

I think it was a bit of spooking from the hit to Brady, as well as going away from what's working (viz., no-huddle/up-tempo).

Massive amount of negativity in this thread today. Perhaps some members do not realize how good the Chargers offense is. Or perhaps they expect our team to make every play on every down.

Either way ... the team is looking good and the defense will develop to where it is headed by week 6 - 8 like always ... enjoy the ride.

I have mixed feelings on the defense today. Gave up a ton of big plays but also took the ball away what 4 or 5 times? No pass rush to speak of, then the strip sack to end it. Big goal line stop, but gashed up the middle frequently if I recall correctly. Bottom line I guess is they held them to 21 and the Offense scored more so that's all that matters.

Two weeks in a row McCourty has gotten abused. This is a problem.

Different year, same morons in the game threads.

Posters here do not give the Chargers enough respect. We could have done better. But the Chargers are a good team. Stop expecting a 49-0 blowout.

This defense has issues. Pretending everything was sunny out there is as bad as crying about Brady not being clutch and screaming about every play that doesn't go for a Patriots touchdown.

San Diego 'Super Fakers' couldn't slow down this offense even with trying to slow things down with 'injuries'. That's two games in a row the Pats offense has blown up and looked unstoppable. And it's not like the Charger's lack talent on D either. Man, if they keep it up, this offense could be better than 2007!

Great win for the Pats against a talented opponent. The best team definitely won. The Pats stepped up when the game came down to critical moments. The Chargers on the other handed coughed up the ball. Just shows which team is more mentally tough and disciplined.

The Chargers just AREN'T READY to hang with the Big Dogs yet!

Go Pats!!
