ESPN extends Monday Night Football deal through 2021 | ProFootballTalk

BOOOOOO. I refuse to pay for cable, and refuse to watch ESPN unless its the only place to watch the Patriots. Football belongs on free tv, not paid cable services.

*grumpy*

They still have "free" TV?

I too hate cable which is why I have DirectTV, with the NFL Sunday ticket, and the whole house DVR, together they are the two greatest inventions of the 21 century!

I remember when ESPN first got the Sunday Night games, I thought they did a pretty good job. As long as they keep old Hank, they still got me.

I get all the major networks in glorious HD just fine with an antenna myself. Depends where you live of course

The only reason I have DirecTV is for the games on ESPN and NFLN :(

I'm in the process of moving to Florida, and will have Direct TV solely for access to Sunday Ticket. The NFL is missing a major market by not offering game access to fans wherever they happen to live. In these days of digital entertainment, any fan of any team should be able to access the games of their favorite teams without having to pay for special equipment and packages.

The NFL is missing out on a worldwide audience by their long term commitments to the established networks with viewing limitations.

My only problem with Monday Night Football, or any night football for that matter, is that it usually runs too late. I'd bet that even Hank has problems with midnight football.
