Ty Warren Cut ! Crumpler, Kaczur, TBC, Stroud cut too

wasn't expecting Ty to be cut since BB loves to max out on Dline. He must have another coming in.

What the hell man....was expecting Warren to return hungry and Crumpler was a favorite of mine.

Crumpler was one of your favorites??? His stone hands cost us the Jets game and a chance to win a 4th Super Bowl

I dont know what to make out of all this. This is a huge blow if u asked me.This team is using alot of scrap parts on the d-line.Brace is what he is.I dont get it at all.Haynesworth wants to be a DE.

Crumpler may be back, with a restructure.

Highly not probable w/ all the Veterans we currently have on this team.:) We do not need him. when we go out and draft 1 TE and sign 1 more in URFA it means Bill has had plans to get rid of a TE:) Alge was it:)

Can't say I am supprised about Crump. Got my ***** chewed on a few extended threads by many posters for feeling he was too expensive old and hurt to take over Smith. Got to respect the loyalty of his fans, they got viscious on me.

I very much doubt Crumpler is gone. He likely will be restructured and resigned. So don't get your hopes up.

Reports are at least some of these guys will be resigned and we know these will not likely include Warren, Kaczur (unless Light falls through), TBC. So they are either talking about Crumpler and/or Stroud. Even Stroud is pretty questionable.

Finally the team’s official site just announced via Twitter that the Patriots have released six veterans, including Ty Warren, Marcus Stroud, Alge Crumpler, Nick Kaczur, and Tully Banta-Cain. Stroud and Banta-Cain were just a formality, as most reports already had them set to be released. Kaczur was expected due to the fact the team wanted him to take a pay cut and he had refused, but the Crumpler, and Warren move were a surprise. Belichick may have said the trade for Haynesworth, “wasn’t official”, but Warren’s early release leads you to believe – not that there was really any doubt – that that deal is finally done. The good news for Warren is it gives him plenty of time to catch on somewhere else, although some feel that several of these deals could be restructured so that we could potentially see one or more of these guys brought back.

Re: Ty Warren Cut !

Rapoport on twitter:
Here is what @NFLCharean wrote: "Warren failed his physical, failing his conditioning test. But it had nothing to do with his hip."

Well that opens speculation that between blowing off last season's off season to get his degree and consequently needing surgery too late to play and losing the season BB may have taken Ty's lack of conditioning as indicating a continued lack of commitment to Patriot football.

A huge blow? They cut 3 guys who didn't play a down for the Pats last year, the 3rd TE, and a part time starter at OLB who was hurt and not going to be ready early in the year.

Chris Price seems to think Crumpler may well be back.

Sounds more and more like a good decisions esp if the cap cost is dead

Is Brace gonna step up?I just dont like the depth right now.We have alot of second tier guys on the DL.Parts!Unless they are gonna make a move for Osi and play alot of 4-3 this year.

Could not have been stated any more accurately!!!

People have to remember we were 14-2 last year with out Warren. We just brought in Haynesworth and got back a very good corner in Bodden. This team is going to sign a couple UFA in the next 24-48 hours that will help us this year. Also you have to give Brace a real chance to make an impact you used a high 2nd round pick on him and his time is now. We will be fine.. better players than Warren have been cut by BB in much more dire circumstances.

Don't forget we went 14-2 against some of the better divisions in the NFL and beat every playoff team in the regular season with the exception of the Chiefs and split the Jets.

We're going to be fine. Most of the teams we are facing this season are going through some huge changes in one way or another. HC changes, half roster makeovers, unheard of QB's, etc.

The whole Ty Warren cut shock and suprise last not even an hour, then we find out that the Pats may or may not be able to get his whole cap hit off the books, he flunked his physical and the conditioning test and it all makes sense now..................

Has anyone be able to figure out if they can write off the cap hits for anyone cut before the beginning of the league year, or is it just for the Jets???

At least look into trading for Osi.I think he has some years left in him.You cant have enough pass rushing specialist.

Yeah I'd like to hear more about this. EEI reported only a 600k savings. That just can't be right.....

What pick they used on him becomes irrelevant the first day of training camp.

I'm sure BB knows whether or not hes any good, but the pick has nothing to do with whether he'll get playing time.

You aren't insinuating that WEEI could be wrong are you???????
