Who was your favorite Patriot of all time that played ONLY for the Patriots from his rookie debut until his retirement from the league?

I could name many, including Troy Brown,Tedy Bruschi,Bruce Armstrong and Andre Tippett and loads more, but my all time favorite without a doubt was John 'The Hog' Hannah

Who was yours?

offense - steve grogan
defense - steve nelson

I will always be one of Mosi's Mooses.

Troy would be my favorite but gotta mention Gino...I was just a kid but I still remember watching him with my dad when football was an afterthought.

Tough call, i'll go with Bruschi because i thought his leadership and playmaking was a huge part of their dynasty run. He epitomized what they were about.

I was a Mosi Moose too.p..but I have to say Grogs...now there was a man's man...and a tougher SOB I have NEVER seen in any sport

You apparently missed the Tony Eason era.

I suck at sarcasm...is that what that post was???

Not at all, there is a childsized statue of him in a fetal position on Route1 in Foxboro. A tougher SOB i have never seen.

Obviously I am using a different set of criteria than you are....whatever, my universal interspecies alien translator is offline at the moment...

offense- carlos pennywell
defense- rod shoate

odd favorites, i know, but as my favorite coach would say, it is what it is.

and no it's not parcells

Wow, that's a tough question. Actually the caveat of them having to have played their entire career with the Pats makes it a little easier because it eliminates a lot of names from consideration, such as Stanley Morgan, Jim Nance, Houston Antwine, Bob Dee, Ben Coates, Willie McGinest, Mike Haynes, etc.

I think I'll go with Grogan, although I find myself giving a whole lot of consideration to others such as Sam Cunningham, John Hannah, Mosi Tatupu, Andre Tippett, Tedy Bruschi, Steve Nelson, Darryl Stingley, Troy Brown, Gino Cappelletti, Julius Adams, Pete Brock, Don Blackmon, etc.; as you can see, if you ask me again next week I'd probably give you a different answer.

Troy Brown for me, and I will always have a soft spot for Mosi Tatupu.

Troy Brown

but Tedy Bruschi is a close second

It was tough for me placing Mosi over Troy, but I just have such fond memories of him, and his was the first jersey I ever owned.

Troy 1st
Bruschi 2nd (sorry Mrs B!)

Drew Bledsoe, i was 11 years old when the pats Drafted him he's the reason i am a pats fan today
