The same blue print that has given us some of the worst 3rd down defenses in the league the last few years? What exactly was the defensive blue print last year?

To finish in the Top Ten in the only Defensive stat that counts, Points Against, where they finished 8th, My Friend... :D:D:rolleyes::bricks:

Last year's defense was considered very young and very injured.
What was the problem the year prior to that? How about the year before that? Our Defense hasn't been very good for a few years now. And all we have to hang our hats on for next year is that year 2 jump from Jermaine. Lets say FA started monday. Who on the market would provide significant help? Tamba will never make it to FA. Same with Woodley. No way are we going to spend the money Asamougha will demand after drafting a CB at 33. Kiwanuka was tendered a second round pick. I don't see BB forking up a pick for him. Who is left?

On an interesting note, the fact that the Jets traded up in the 5th round to get WR/RS Jeremy Kerley indicates that they are not committed to keeping Brad Smith.

Wow, is that really how you feel about Crumpler?

Not really...just pissed off. He's a class act, always liked him. Sorry Algie.

However, after Samuel let that sure interception squirt right through his hands, I'm glad that he's suffering in Philly. That guy was definitely an over-rated jerk.

If we wanted Herzlich we would have taken him by now wouldnt you think?

I think we may look wr here, what about Jeff Maehl from Oregon? seemed like the only guy who showed up for the ducks in that title game

If there is to be football without a new CBA, restricted free agency and the various tags will be per se antitrust violations.

With no new CBA in sight, the only possibilities are:

1) No football this year, or

2) Football with no restrictions on player movement.

Considering how quickly you dismiss anything factual that disproves your assumptions, I won't waste the time going over the specific problems for each and every year.

For a very young, very hurt defense to be 8th in points against is nothing to be ashamed about. Take a breath, step back and try not to worry about being "right", and you might start to appreciate what BB has done in a very weak draft class.

I've said Maehl like 5 times in this thread, I want him at 194.

Oh yeah Samuels definitely been suffering after signing that 60+million contract in philly.

I'd take him in a New York minute.

Terrific player. Fits us perfectly.

How about a defense that can get in the same zip code as that great future hall of famer Dirty Sanchez? With defense like that we might have actually won a playoff game or two. At the end of the day franchises like NE, Colts and Pitt are evaluated by what they did in the playoffs. Because that is the standard they have set for themselves. Those were the standards we as fans kept judging them by back when the Pats won when it counted most and the colts fans hung their hats on the regular season wins.

He's a massive, run blocking TE from a smaller program. Most seem to have him rated as the best blocking TE in this draft.
are you kidding? another te? lol i thought we addressed that last year.

It's still Philly. No amount of money can change that.
