Solder, Vollmer and Cannon. Good luck spotting Woodhead behind that line.

Cannon will not start on either PUP or IR. He will START in game one.

My feeling is that this is the biggest steal of our draft (unless Mallett turns out to be the real deal). This kid was slotted as a 2nd rounder and even a 1st by some. This kid did not give up a single sack (Dalton was his QB).

If we're talking about players falling because of illness/injury concerns, Bowers is the steal of the draft.

Agreed.

We had 5 interior lineman to start our 2010 season. NONE OF THEM are signed beyond this season, Ohrnberger was brought back to the team. he is singed through 2012. We now have signed a 2012 replacement. Cannon will likely start on the PUP list, or on IR, which is fine. We badly need a top OL for 2012.

I expect us to ahve Mankins or another veteran from free agency for 2011.

why would you put that guy on IR??
maybe if he was a typical 5th round project, but he's supposedly 1/2 round ability.
basically, all he has to do is beat out ohrnberger, and ohrnberger is a smurf next to this guy.

as an aside, at patriots events they should let you pay 5 bucks to charity for a chance to try and push him.

Or Shane Vereen, or whoever else is gonna make the team as a running back.

May be the best pick so far and I do like Solder.

My brother is going through chemo for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the moment. He has to go through 6 treatments spaced three weeks apart. So depending on the number of treatments, it'll be somewhere around 18 weeks to complete, which would be near the start of TC. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Cannon goes on the PUP list.

In addition to the number of treatments, chemo really takes it out of you physically. People regularly go in to treatment really optimistic but get sideswiped by the toll on their bodies. On top of all that, this kid has a huge psychological and emotional challenge ahead of him.

I love the pick for the future, but I expect he'll start the year on PUP.

My sympathy to you and your brother; I wish only the best for him.

Cannon will not have that type of treatment- his most recent biopsy revealed a benign mass, but they are going to finish the treatment just to be safe (2 or 3 more sessions if I'm not wrong).

Anyone think Dan Connolly can step in for Koppen in the long run?

Maybe a line of Solder-Mankins-Connolly-Cannon-Vollmer for the future? I like the look of that.

Name a worst front seven. Stroud?:D

Warren?:D

Ninkovich?:D

Cleveland
Denver
Atlanta
Washington
Arizona
Dallas
Seattle

Just off the top of my head.

Again, his biopsy reveals that the mass is cancer-free at this point.

Interesting how the Pats attack a roster spot...2 Ts and 2 RBs this year....last year 2 TEs and 2 LBs.
But each individual in the pair has a different skill set

Except there are concerns that he may never recover/heal to his potential. Supposedly has an arthritic knee.

I would rather they use one of the 1st's next year on a Center.

What is the deal with Ronald Johnson. Is he just a USC knucklehead?

I did not know that. That's good news.

I guess he could be a starter earlier than expected!

So does that mean we are taking a nickel corner or Tyrod Taylor at QB :D

Connolly and Wendell are our backup centers. As with Koppen, they are both in their contract years. It seems likely that belichick can find a starting center from free agency or the 2012 draft that will be better than any of the three, or not.

I'm getting excited...!!!!!
